Novotel Ipswich Centre, Whole Venue

Great team, reception and breakfast as well as bar. Special thank you to gentlemen who worked breakfast on Sunday morning 27th July - he went above and beyond. Polish lady from Monday breakfast very lovely and attentive as well.Recetpion team always greeted us with a smile .very lovely stay

Great location with easy access to waterfront restaurants. All the staff we met at the hotel were welcoming. The family room we stayed in was super spacious and quiet, despite facing the roundabout. The mattress and pillows were all comfortable. If I had to mention the cons, there were three minor issues. A bad smell came from the bathroom drain—we had to keep the bathroom sink stopper closed to stop the slight stench. The air conditioner made quite loud noise. Fortunately, we only needed to turn it on for a few minutes; it would be very hard to fall asleep with that level of noise on a hot summer night. Last but not least, the floor lamp near the TV/desk was controlled by the same switch as the headboard background light. This meant that when I turned off the headboard light to help my kid sleep, my husband struggled to get enough light to work at the desk. Among these three cons, the light issue was the most inconvenient problem we had. I wish they could separate the switch for the floor lamp. Breakfast definitely above the standard. Over all we enjoyed our stay.

Stayed over the weekend for the Ed Sheeran concert. Easy 8 minute walk to the stadium. Perfect also for exploring the town and the Waterfront with it's bars and restaurants is just around the corner. All the staff we met were super friendly and helpful and the upgraded room was great. Breakfasts were quality and plentiful. Parking spaces are limited, but we had no problems. Our go to place now for visiting Ipswich.
