Great course, well-priced food and drink in a stunning setting.

Was invited by a group of 3 to fill the 4th slot. My first visit there, used driving range too! Overall a lovely golf course and club house, small pro shop but you have everything you require in case. We played on the new course. Generally a lovely course to play but I do not believe it warrants the £145 (visitors) as the fairways were not in top conditions (some lacked grass and others were hard!). I get it, weather has not been too but we could have been informed prior to teeing off as a courtesy! Overall enjoyed it but cheaper courses in the neighbourhood.

I played the New Course at Burhill today, and unfortunately it was the most disappointing round I have experienced here. I have always admired and loved Burhill, which makes this even more disheartening. While I understand that the recent drought has created difficulties for many golf courses, the condition today was well below expectations—especially compared with other nearby clubs. With sprinklers available, it raises the question of whether they are being operated effectively, and what efforts the course management team is making to improve the situation. Burhill, founded in 1907, has long been associated with tradition and prestige. However, today it feels as though the club is not living up to the standards it has set in the past. Considering the level of membership fees, it is hard to accept the course in its current state.
