The food was excellent from the cafe, but the main reason for attending was to join an event created by the Facebook group, Sutton BSL Meets. This meeting was attended by people from the Deaf and hard of hearing community as well as people who work alongside Deaf children and people learning how to sign. There were 10 people attending and for the majority of the time, all conversations were held using BSL Signing. Thanks G Live for being host to this meeting, the space, food and drink were just right, and to Sutton BSL Meets for arranging it. I learnt a lot.

A great venue to see all kinds of entertainment. We’ve seen bands, comedians and more recently Fawlty Towers. The venue is very accessible with a couple of over priced bars. £4 for a bottle of coke and nearly £3 for a can of water that had definitely taken some of its taste from the metal, I think is extortionate. But, a captive audience has no choice. Apart from the bar the venue is nothing short of all you need from a more intimate theatre. I’m not sure there is a bad seat in the house. The toilets are clean and don’t seem to generate queues like other venues. The seats are quite hard and as with other theatres not on the ample side. If you’ve got long legs or on the big side it is a tight squeeze. The staff are polite, friendly and helpful. Plenty of car parking around and at one end of the high street with access to plentiful restaurants for refreshments before the show. Fawlty Towers was amazing by the way.
