We were here last week for my son and daughter-in-laws wedding and what a day we had! He staff are excellent especially on reception and at breakfast. Nothing was to much trouble for them and I would like to say a real big thank you for making the day so special for us all Sarah Shoesmith

The rooms are great, due an upgrade but were very fairly priced for what they are. The service was perfect, from reception, breakfast, afternoon tea and through to evening dinner. Spa was brilliant and Rosa was professional with the massage. Location is spot on. Also dog friendly and our pup felt he had a very relaxing time away too.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was superb—warm, relaxed, and full of character. The swimming pool and spa was great, and the historic setting of the hotel added a special charm to the whole experience. Breakfast was a real highlight—flavorful and satisfying, with top-notch service. However, the restaurant food was a letdown. While the staff remained friendly and attentive, the meals were tasteless and overpriced. This is definitely an area that could use some improvement. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would recommend the hotel for its atmosphere, history, and hospitality. Just hope they upgrade the food at the restaurant soon!

Visited the Hotel for a friend’s wedding and had a brilliant experience. Bar staff gave exceptional hospitality and service. Jacob and Ben took care of all the drinks providing table service, taking the time to find any particular drink requests and even giving alternatives when certain drinks weren’t available. The hotel itself was very beautiful with an exceptional front patio with lots of seating. Had a brilliant few hours at the hotel, wish I could have stayed the night!

Nice looking hotel and grounds and our Room was very clean but the bed was so uncomfortable, Dinner and breakfast were average and the restaurant is too compact and formal, felt like no personal space and on top of each other, food splatter all up the wall where we sat for breakfast , Spa was disappointing as it’s also open to the public and not very relaxing, lack of beds, sauna half broken, get it fixed as priority. We was told there could be children’s swimming lessons on arrival but we had aqua aerobics going on instead for an hour in the morning yet you can only use the facilities until 12.00 on check out day when it is peaceful. Ironic!! Our treatment was nice and needed after the terrible night sleep . Overall I wouldn’t recommend or return to this establishment
