Old Thorns Hotel & Resort is set in 400 acres of picturesque Hampshire countryside and offers a unique experience all in one place. The large resort features bedrooms, self-catering apartments, golf course, meeting and events spaces, restaurants, health club and spa. Old Thorns is the ideal destination for you, your teams, or your clients to enjoy the best Hampshire has to offer. Located just off the A3 and close to the M25 motorway, Old Thorns is ideally placed to help you with your business needs. Conferences are easy to manage as everything you’ll need for a successful event is on site. Larger spaces can cater for up to 500 delegates theatre style and with great catering options, AV equipment and over 260 bedrooms the team will help make your conference a success.
The Old Thorns meeting rooms are flexible enough to be used for small or medium sized meetings. Eight dedicated rooms can be hired for between 12 and 90 delegates depending on the layout. All rooms are conveniently located near to each other, ensuring the option of break out rooms for larger events is straightforward.

And when it comes to conferences and meetings the Chefs and hospitality teams at Old Thorns will gladly cater to all tastes and palates offering a variety of delicious food and drink options for events of all sizes.
The Old Thorns Spa is perfect for your health and wellness offering relaxation therapies, intense massages and everything in between. The Old Thorns has an 18 hole championship Golf Course as well as state-of-the-art gym facilities. You'll also have access to a20 metre swimming pool as well as a warm massage sub-tropical bubble pool. You can also in the jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and heated beds – the Old Thorns health club is the ideal place to unwind after a strenuous workout or to ‘just relax’ after a hard day.

If you cancel an Event, you will be required to pay: - Where the Cancellation Notice is provided between 189 and 364 days in advance of the Event, 25% of the Price - Where the Cancellation Notice is provided between 91 and 188 days in advance of the Event, 50% of the Price - Where the Cancellation Notice is provided between 35 and 90 days in advance of the Event, 90% of the Price; and - Where the Cancellation Notice is provided between 1 and 34 days in advance of the Event, 100% of the Price

I’ve just returned from our annual Ryder Cup-style golf event, which we hosted this year at Old Thorns—and I felt compelled to leave a review. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. Every single member of staff we encountered over the weekend was exceptional—bar staff, golf operations, restaurant teams, spa staff, and reception—everyone went above and beyond. As a group of 36 golfers, we’ve visited many venues over the years, but the service we received at Old Thorns was without question the best we’ve ever experienced. Nothing was too much trouble. Every request was met with a smile and a can-do attitude, and the professionalism of the entire team was clear throughout. The same can be said for the booking process and all communication leading up to the event—friendly, helpful, and seamless from beginning to end. A special thank you also to the green-keeping team. The course was in incredible condition despite the high volume of traffic it must see, and the greens, in particular, were the best we’ve ever played on—absolutely first-class. The facilities at Old Thorns are second to none, and the positive feedback from our group has been overwhelming. I genuinely don’t know how we’ll top this year’s event—but one thing’s for certain: we’ll absolutely be back. Highly, highly recommended.

Just back from a Tranquil Spa weekend (this is my fourth time here!). As always, our stay was lovely - comfortable rooms and lovely spa facilities. One member of staff in particular (a lady on reception, unfortunately didn't get her name!) was so lovely and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. However, the man who serves the carvery meat could do with some tips on being friendly from this lady! Breakfast was nice with a relaxed atmosphere. Same with afternoon tea. We'll definitely be back! Excellent service, especially Dan, who kindly helped me and my friends with our bags. Food amazing. Entertainment outstanding. Just a couple of stars knocked off for the actual accommodation and pool area. Both are very outdated and tired looking. Air con in rooms would be a great added bonus and a general clean and refurbish of the wet rooms, especially the foot spa, as it smelt very badly of stale water. This would not put me off going again, though, so I totally recommend a night away for a bit of pampering and relaxation 😀

Dear Old Thorns. I just wanted to let you know how super impressed I am with every single member of Staff at your amazing Resort. The welcome we received was second to none. The waiting staff in the Restaurant putting up with a load of annoying men were immaculate. Special mentions to Amy ( young Cocktail waitress on her first week), Sophia on reception for looking for my Range Finder and another 2 receptionists ( cant recall their names sadly) for finding and returning my shirts !!! Also a mention to the Golf Staff and Spa staff all of whom were impeccable to make our stay excellent

It’s more of a 3 star resort than 4 star. None of the rooms have aircon. They provide a tower fan and a heater. It’s not enough, I barely slept during these hot summer nights. You can’t open the window because it doesn’t open all the way for safety. I paid £219 for an average room. I’ve paid less for better rooms with more facilities. Location is middle of nowhere but the resort has plenty of facilities which families would enjoy. I expected a bit more class with this hotel resort but it wasn’t that. It’s definitely more for family and people into golf. Breakfast is full buffet, ironically the like families sat nearby each other and the quiet couples (us) were seated far away on the other side of the restaurant. I did find that the official website offers better prices compared to booking.com. My standard room was £210 and they were offering a penthouse for £180.
