From entering into the short winding drive which at the end of it you see this Old Style Residential Hotel, entering you feel comfortable and expect in my case a 2 day stay with no problems, and so it was. Room...well what do you expect? It was comfortable providing all you require for overnight comfort. I enjoyed a late evening in the Bar with a young Italian Barman and left for bed. Both breakfasts were probably the best I have gad in a hotel, Freshly cooked with a great selection and a toaster that worked, all in all a 5 Star plus stay and I will return.

4 weeks continuous stay during a nearby works course. The hotel is well located near to Fleet however benefits from its quiet location. The rooms are quite dated and are suffering from Miriam of small defects however, my overall stay was comfortable. The bed were comfy and the rooms warm however, the walls are quite thin and other guest s noise was noticeable. The staff were excellent throughout! Nothing was too much trouble and they were polite throughout. Special shout out to Sheila at breakfast. She went above and beyond during my stay and it was clear that she takes absolute pride in her job with the guests wellbeing at the forefront of her mind. Overall a pleasant stay with strong consideration to check here for availability first when I’m next in the area.

A really lovely wedding venue and by all accounts, good value. Excellent service, very good food and friendly approachable staff. Yes, some of the hotel decor is dated. However, we really enjoyed our stay. No issues whatsoever.

Previously we had stayed and celebrated x2 family parties and we were pleased with room and food. The previous lady who dealt with us on these occasions was first class. BUT... This Christmas we booked as a family. Dec 25 2015, I was so disappointed with my Christmas day vegetarian meal: the onion soup was tasty but the onions and crouton were quite chewy. The vegetable wellington filling was mushy and tasteless. I left most of it. The veggie gravy was like coloured water and also had no taste. Others said that the beef was tough and over done. Serving staff did not smile much and there was no pleasant atmosphere. We were not welcomed but had to find table via list on the wall. Dissapointed all round. On a positive note the table was nicely decorated.

We attended your Christmas event recently and were really disappointed with the overall experience. The food and wine were below the standard we expected, and our group was seated in what felt like a conservatory, separate from the main party atmosphere. We also stayed overnight and found the rooms in need of updating and much better soundproofing. Overall, it wasn’t the experience we were hoping for.
