Beautiful Georgian house/hotel set in lovely grounds in superb location. Ideal for a walking/exploring weekend or a romantic getaway. Lovely staff. Nothing was too much bother. Delicious buffet breakfast, but let down with weak tea and very strong coffee, not to our taste. Room was nipping clean; a little bit dated and tired. But wow what a superb super king size bed!!! Can't wait to go back.

2 night stay early July in a standard double room on a dinner b and b basis. Plus points: Great, friendly staff. Building/rooms very clean and in good order. Amazing food with an excellent selection (dinner and breakfast). No air con in the room but there was a fan. Perfect location. Short stroll along the river bank into Ironbridge Negative points: The mattress was well past its best and needed replacing I would definitely stay again. Excellent value for money.

Just back from a Dinner, B&B special at the Valley with my wife. We'd previously stayed over for a friend's birthday a year ago. Great location in beautiful Ironbridge with ample parking and nice garden views from the terrace. The restaurant is excellent, dinner was a great experience, lovely staff, great food and choice with both modern and traditional dishes. If I'm being picky some of the tables are a bit close together so next time I'll specify where I want to sit when booking. Breakfast is buffet style and once again the quality doesn't disappoint. Bacon and Sausages clearly sourced from a good butcher, plus the fried eggs had a runny yolk! Rooms are clean but a bit old, so if you're looking for a 5* room the Valley isn't for you. But if you want great value, a nice bar and hidden gem of a restaurant, it's highly recommended.

Great value, staff helpful. Our room must have been the smallest - I’m sure others must have been bigger with better views, ours could have done with a little decorating here and there, but was clean and everything worked. Great choice for breakfast, evening meal was good. Lovely setting in a quiet road, backing onto a park and then the river.

Deep breath time. Firstly the staff are absolutely superb, nothing is too much trouble for them and they go above and beyond to help. The rooms however are pretty basic for the price, double bed, built in wardrobe and ensuite. Our room ( 5 ) was very small but double aspect, unfortunately looking over a flat roof from both windows. Due to the age and design of the building, there are no lifts to the upper floors. Our room didn't have air-conditioning, just a fan. Now, the negatives. Only 1 bottle of water is provided in the room, not much coffee or milk either. None of this is replaced when the room is made up, so you have to contact reception for extra. This is NOT acceptable in this day and age, and gives the impression of cost-cutting. It should be part and parcel of servicing a room.
