My friend and I have just returned home after a stay at Burbage/Hinkley Island hotel and we have not stopped talking about how impressed we were with our stay! The room was exquisite, beds so very comfortable, breakfast was lovely and the scent throughout the hotel was just something else! My friend and I hope to rebook very soon for another reunion. I’d highly recommend this place ❤️

It was a great stay. We ordered room service, which was delicious and very quick. Breakfast was excellent, thanks to the wonderful staff (sorry, I forgot her name!). We also used the leisure centre—nice and clean. On top of that, there was plenty of parking available. We had a great experience from check-in to check-out. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we will definitely visit again.

This is a beautifully presented hotel with such lovely staff, all very helpful and provided service with genuine smiles. The food in the restaurant was delicious with a good choice on both the main menu and kids menu. We visited the pool which was very clean and well maintained, we loved the mood lighting and having seating around the sides to keep our things close to hand. We were visiting the Space centre so for us the location was perfect being a short drive from here, it is situated just off the M69 giving easy access by car. We didn't explore the immediate area but there didn't seem much around the area but honestly you wouldn't need to leave the hotel. The bar areas are lovely and rooms spacious. We took two children with us and had plenty of space to play the games that we took without the room feeling cramped at all. Amazing stay and we plan to return.

Our stay was overall very positive, and we would definitely stay again. Most staff members go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable. The hotel is right next to the motorway but you cannot hear any noise from outside. The facilities are good and everywhere is clean. We did feel the steak prices at the restaurant were a bit expensive for the size. The note from the manager and snacks in room were a nice touch.

The rooms were in line with expectations for the price paid. The leisure centre facilities are a welcome addition and do enhance the overall stay. Guests seeking a calm and well-organised breakfast experience may wish to avoid dining here during peak times, unless arriving very early. Breakfast service was extremely chaotic, with staff circulating aimlessly rather than being allocated to specific sections of the restaurant. Food was not replenished in a timely manner, and even basic items such as sliced bread were unavailable for over 20 minutes, despite repeated requests. Staff appeared overly occupied serving items that guests could reasonably help themselves to. Dinner service reflected similar inefficiencies. Service was slow and lacked attentiveness, with several staff members congregating and chatting instead of monitoring tables or orders. We waited over 40 minutes for dessert, which was only served after the sole competent staff member, Abigail, personally intervened to retrieve the plates. She was the only positive aspect of the dining experience. Overall, the hotel would benefit from urgently addressing its service and staffing issues within the dining areas. This was our second stay; on our first visit we did not dine in the evening and had an early breakfast, which may explain the more positive experience previously. Unfortunately, the dining experience on this occasion significantly reduced the overall rating. Otherwise, the stay would have warranted a solid 4 out of 5. A further mark was deducted due to a blocked sink, which was noticed by a staff member but not remedied.
