About Venue
The Lord Leycester Hospital is a true medieval gem in Warwickshire, and provides a historic and unique venue for your very special day.
Made up of a group of 14thCentury timber-framed buildings on Warwick High Street, The Lord Leycester Hospital has never been a medical establishment and simply uses the word ‘hospital’ in its ancient sense – in other words a warm and welcoming establishment for the needy.
The incredibly special, historic feel of the venue is ideal for your wedding if you want a day filled with an intimate and informal atmosphere. Say your ‘I do’s to your partner inside the wonderful 600 year old Guildhall or even the ancient Great Hall, which boasts a splendid beamed roof.
Enjoy unrivalled opportunities for photographs after the ceremony in the galleried Courtyard and the Master’s Garden, ideal for some precious stolen moments with your partner.
After the ceremony, you and your party can enjoy a reception or wedding breakfast back in the medieval Great Hall. You’ll be treated to a grand array of food and wine of an impressive quality from our recommended suppliers.
Continue the celebrations and dance the night away in the Hall with all your loved ones, underneath the same roof where King James the First originally dined in 1617 – the perfect way to end your special day.

Brilliant place to visit, staff were really friendly and helpful. Plenty to do to entertain and teach the kids.

What a beautiful historical building. We were met at the entrance by a very charming lady who gave us a brief history of the building. This encouraged us to buy entrance tickets and explore the place properly. It is a fascinating place with a fascinating history and definitely worth a visit. It is staffed by extremely knowledgeable and friendly volunteers. There is a lovely cafe on site and a very good gift shop with high end things to buy. Highly recommended !

Amazing that it's a living museum that's still carrying out the work it was founded for back in Elizabethan times. Well worth a visit.
