I attended an award celebration event with four colleagues, but arrived on the day and didn't stay overnight. The mains for lunch were excellent, and the decaf coffee from the machines in the garden rooms were good. The staff were friendly and skilled.

Just wonderful - We had a lovely stay and would definitely return. The hotel and the grounds are beautiful and so relaxing. Food delicious and comfy bed for a dreamy sleep. :) All staff are very welcoming and friendly a special thank you to Maddie for looking after us! :) x

I went to Gorse Hill Hotel for a afternoon tea for my 50th with my friends. I'm gluten free and was very impressed with the food. Best gluten free afternoon tea in ever had. Sandwiches were really nice and tasty (not dry)and cakes were good variety and not just chocolate. Was very impressed and definitely will recommend it and will be back again. Service was excellent 5" Thank you for making my 50th birthday special (wasn't really looking forward to it because of boring gluten free food). ☺️

This is a very beautiful hotel, particularly in the summer. The single rooms are small and unexceptional for the cost, but clean and comfortable. The restaurant serving staff in the evening were wonderful - welcoming and eager to please. However, the breakfast was, for the cost, really rather sub-standard: the orange juice was not fresh (probably out of a carton), and the cooked breakfast fell far short of a good solid full English - a tiny bowl of beans, some sad mushrooms (they gave every appearance of having been tinned before being cooked), what tasted like a stale hash brown, and two grey pieces of 'poached' back bacon.
