My partner and I enjoyed our first visit to the Spa & Hotel. We booked a spa day with treatments, meals, and an overnight stay in a luxury double room. The booking process was straightforward, but be aware that the hotel isn't connected to the spa, which confused some guests. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, and we paid a £100 deposit for room charges. We were offered a buggy ride to the spa's entrance. The spa facilities were clean, well-equipped, and not overcrowded. We enjoyed the outdoor areas. While I prefer some facilities at Bath Thermae Spa, Woodland offered more choices and better dining. We enjoyed our massages and the meals at Bertram's restaurant, where service was attentive despite being busy. Our hotel room was spacious, with lovely views and all necessary amenities. However, there were some drawbacks: we were informed of a potential cyber scam after booking, which was concerning. Set meal times were restrictive, and unclear dress codes were frustrating, especially when I was refused service at the outdoor bar while waiting for my partner because I was wearing clothes. The room's TV had poor connectivity for streaming, and we weren't allowed to sit outside at breakfast, nor was dairy-free milk readily available. Overall, it was still a 5-star experience despite these issues.

I booked a little getaway at Crow Wood Hotel & Spa for my husband’s birthday, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The room was immaculate, spacious, and offered a stunning view. Breakfast was exceptional, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste, and the drinks were perfectly chilled and refreshing. We loved the buggy ride from the hotel to the spa – such a charming and thoughtful touch! The spa itself was outstanding, with an impressive selection of pools to enjoy. We ordered drinks at the poolside, and the strawberry mojito and strawberry daiquiri were exactly what we needed – refreshing and absolutely delightful 😋. We also indulged in a rooftop pizza, which was both delicious and memorable. The staff were attentive and welcoming throughout our stay, which made the whole experience feel even more special. Overall, we had a fabulous time and will most certainly be returning!

The Spa is one of the best in the North of England, if not THE best. The facilities and staff are secodlnd to none. If you combine your Spa day with a food experience, you won't be disappointed. The food is also amazing. Dont miss this place, you'll leave refreshed with a full belly 🙂

Modern hotel, excellent suite with lounge area, very solid building and very quiet which is good. Restaurant offering in the hotel was very good. The Woodland Spa - good and bad - the good - its one of the best pool / spa complexes I have ever been to, with 4 pools, various hot tubs inside and out on the roof, various steam, sauna, ice rooms. Overall excellent. The bad - the hotel website shows you photos from the spa, but isn't clear that its an extra charge and its quite a lot - £85 per person. I mean if the hotel is called Crow Wood hotel & Spa, it naturally sounds like its included. The hotel does have access to a pool/gym which can only be described as like a local authority sports centre - very boring 25m pool. This is in the same building as the Woodland Spa which makes it even more confusing. Also hotel basically off a motorway roundabout - not great location. If I ran the hotel I'd make it clear and also offer easy package to have room + spa as one price rather than turn up and find its not included. Also - STUPID "Incidentals charge" of £100 put on credit card. We assume that meant we could charge items to our room - like drinks in the spa - but no - we go back to the reception having been declined to be able to order against our room and they say "no its in case there is any damage to the room", I said thats not "incidentals", thats "accident", and surely that would be the hotels issue (insurance) not a guest ? I said what is the policy ? no policy given. What if I break a glass - do you charge me ? no answer given. "Its in case you smoke in the room, for cleaning charge". THEN WHY NOT SAY THAT AT CHECK IN A ITS REALLY REALLY ANNOYING AND MISLEADING.

Worst spa hotel I've ever stayed in. Ignore all the photos of the lovely pool. Its not included in your £300 a night room. Its not owned by the hotel and its no were near the hotel. The pool you get included which they don't tell you about is nothing more than a leisure centre that you would find in a council estate. Do not book.
