With the perfect combination of tradition and modern style, The Great Victoria is a wonderful wedding venue. Located in the heart of Bradford, the venue benefits from an excellent location amidst the buzz of the vibrant city centre.
The Great Victoria boasts two superb function rooms for wedding celebrations. One space offers all the elegance of a traditional Victorian suite; its high ceilings, oak panelling, exquisite chandeliers and draped curtains all add to the grandeur and majesty of the space. If you choose to opt for a more contemporary feel for your event, the second room is bright and modern.
Both spaces are ideally suited for extravagant, traditional weddings, offering the style and flair you would expect from a top venue. We understand that every couple has their own plans and requirements for their special day, and we strive to provide a day that reflects you and your unique ideas. Whether you’re planning an intimate event or a grand celebration, we will create a magical day just for you.
You can choose the Great Victoria for your whole day or just for your reception in our banqueting suite. Whatever you choose, you can rest assured that you will enjoy service of the highest standard from the venue’s dedicated staff.
Within the hotel we have 70 beautifully finished rooms, offering a delightful night’s stay for your overnight guests. The most spectacular suite we offer is the stunning penthouse bridal suite. The room has two side-by-side baths and an impressive seven-foot bed for your first night of married life.
We are now in the process of landscaping the grounds so we can offer bride & grooms some memories outside as well as our beautiful hotel inside.

Just had our wedding here on Saturday and wow!! The whole day was absolutely perfect. The staff went above and beyond for us, especially Cameron and Beth. Nothing was a problem and the whole day ran like clockwork. Our guests were saying it was one of the best weddings they have been to. The rooms were set up beautifully and everything was just amazing I am over the moon and so happy we picked this venue for our big day. Only downside was the lift is out of order and our penthouse room was on the top floor so was a struggle going up and down with heavy bags and in my dress but this is nobodies fault. Thank you all so much for the most amazing day xx

Lovely hotel located close to Bradford Live venue which was the reason for our visit. Rooms comfortable and good size. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and piping hot. Unfortunately, lift was put if service so the stairs to our room were a bit of a challenge for us.

Stayed 3 nights in July. Great location and great value through Booking.com (£93 total), though our final night booked direct was a bit pricier at £95. Breakfast was excellent—£12pp and a really good hot and continental spread. The lift was out of order the entire stay, which made accessing upper floors difficult, especially when I wasn’t feeling well. This wasn’t mentioned when we booked. Room was tidy but showing signs of wear. Only cleanliness issue was a cobweb on the light fitting. TV was difficult to use, but we had our own devices. Rooms were quite warm and windows barely open—bring a fan if you're heat-sensitive! Dinner felt overpriced for what we got, and room service had confusing availability. Staff said “drinks only” despite the guest info stating sandwiches were available. Driving tip: Ignore the postcode they provide for parking—ours took us on a Bradford city centre tour and likely into a few bus lanes. Just use the hotel postcode and drive past the hotel to access the car park. Staff were fantastic—helpful, friendly, and a real credit to the place. Would stay again, but only if the lift is working or we get a ground-floor room.

This used to be a wonderful Hotel. Old but classy Grade 2 listed building. It has so much potential. Sadly they have been through three managers in 6 months. Ishaan at the front desk is really efficient, though many of the old staff are gone. It shows. The lift has not been working for many months. The room prices are great value, but TVs are hit and miss, and WiFi did not connect in my room. The rooms do have baths and the water is powerful, which is nice. It does not have mini fridges or microwaves in the rooms. But they do provide kettle and tea/coffee. The one good thing is that the staff are friendly so if you need something just ask. Also tip in Cash directly to staff if leaving a tip! Parking has doubled in price and is now £10 first come first served.

The building is really quite impressive and well located in the city. However, despite very nice staff it is clear that it has been neglected over the years with the only guest lift out of order (making going up to the third floor with luggage and Olympic sport) and poorly ventilated rooms due to old sash windows that have been sealed shut or have security tags that make them impossible to prop open. The website advertised parking at £5 per night but this is charged at double that when you get to reception. The room service menu also advertised a full range of dishes but has been reduced to frozen oven pizzas from the supermarket but charged for a restaurant. Overall I wouldn't be in a hurry to return.
