We had a lovely short break at Grinkle Park. The last time we stayed was a few years ago and it was really nice to see there had been renovations made without losing the old fashioned charm of this hotel. The location is great, lots of lovely places to explore nearby. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, breakfast was freshly cooked to order and delicious. All the staff were absolutely lovely, genuinely friendly and helpful. Excellent place for a relaxing trip.

My wife and I stayed for one night using the current bb&evening meal promotion. Setting is fabulous, with lush gardens. The hotel is an old Manor House but it felt modern and up to date. Other than on arrival the staff were great, friendly and helpful. The evening meal was amazing the best we have had within this group of hotels. On the whole a great stay and would recommend.

We had a lovely overnight stay at Grinkle Park .. afternoon tea, dinner & breakfast. From checking in to checking out the staff were very friendly & attentive. Our evening meal was of a very high standard & delicious, as was breakfast. Our room was also to a high standard & included extras like bottled water & and ironing board & iron!

A very relaxing overnight stay in a lovely room. We have stayed here for many years. The view over the gardens was a great feature from our window. The room was well appointed and very clean. The service was first class - nothing was too much trouble. Exceptional food and drink. I would recommend Grinkle unreservedly if you are looking for a quiet, chilled break surrounded by wildlife and nature.

This has the potential to be a really lovely place to stay but sadly it just misses the mark. The staff are willing but in the dining room it all seems a bit chaotic. On our first evening it was busy and the kitchen seemed a bit overwhelmed. My husband ordered a dessert but after waiting some time for this to appear concluded that the moment had passed. The food was fine but not outstanding. The cutlery was clearly bog standard catering cutlery as were the wine glasses. These small details do add or detract from the experience. Our bottle of white wine was brought to us at room temperature. I should add that the coffee for breakfast was absolutely tasteless. Our room was spacious with lots of storage space. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom absolutely fine although a shower in the bath so awkward if a guest has mobility issues. I had a lovely bath so no worries. Both I and my husband felt the presence of a manager was missing although we were told there is a manager. It was just not the top quality experience we were hoping for but perhaps we were expecting too much.
