‘Just had our wedding this Saturday and can only sing the hotels praises and want to thank each and every member of staff who helped make our day so special . The staff made sure our day went to plan and helped in any way they could food was gorgeous and service was excellent, bar staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble. My new husband is a stickler for making sure things are perfect and he was amazed at how lovely our day was ,I would recommend this hotel if you are looking to get married its fab .Thank u to all the staff especially Sharon and think it was Charlotte who ran the bar and Sarah who organized our wedding and to Ian the manager who was amazing on the day.’ Julia Eaton – 21.01.2017

‘Held our wedding reception here yesterday and Hellaby Hall were so accommodating, I genuinely could not have wished for a more picturesque or friendly venue. Absolutely perfect. Rooms were to a high standard, and the fretwell suite was just AMAZING! Thank you, Highly recommend it.’ Zoe Morris – 08.11.2016
‘We held our wedding here on Saturday 15th August 2015... Every minute was enjoyable, the day ran smoothly with no hiccups, the staff couldn't do enough for you (even coming to kill a spider in the bedroom as I was frightened and it huge, in the middle of the night)... The food was superb, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Rooms were beautiful, extremely clean, comfortable and breakfast was great too! The only part of the hotel I didn't visit, was the spa but the rest of it is fantastic. You are all doing a great job at turning that hotel around! And thank you to each and every one of the staff who made our special day possible :) xx’ Leanne Martin – 18.08.2015

We had a lovely experience. A large room with a comfortable bed and generous en suite. The TV did not work and was replaced instantly by a very friendly gentleman member of staff. Unfortunately, the swimming pool was closed for a deep clean due to an 'accident' earlier in the day. The reception staff were very apologetic, but obviously beyond their control. It did look like a good size. We had a bar meal in the evening and a stunning breakfast.

Amazing spa weekend! Manor house in Lovely setting, food is top class high end restaurant and everything could be made gluten free! Nothing was too much trouble, they fitted us in short notice for extra treatments and afternoon tea. Massage and facials were superb and I got great advice on products suited for my skin and great deals on! The room had a bottle of bubbly on arrival. The relaxation area was nice and hottub. The swimming pool was average but does the job. Very good value for money. We are booking to come back!

My husband and I recently got married at Hellaby Hall Hotel and what an amazing experience it was. From start to finish all of the staff were incredible - they were all so attentive and approachable and made us both feel very comfortable. Not to mention the food was delicious and the bridal suite we stayed in was immaculate. There were some last minute changes made to our ceremony and the wedding team were incredibly understanding, calm and adaptable which really meant a lot to us. They worked so hard to make sure our guests were comfortable and the day ran smoothly. We would recommend Hellaby Hall to anyone. Thank you so much 🩵

Visited for a family wedding. Exceptionally expensive drinks even considering it was a wedding. (We own a bar and travel extensively and even we were shocked by the prices). Food was good (during the wedding and breakfast) which is where it kind of redeemed itself. Room was large. Devoid of any character and really hot, we barely slept because of the heat. Considering it is meant to be a grand Hotel we were very underwhelmed with it all.

Stayed here for 5 nights and can summarise the following: Room - perfectly fine, and to be expected for the price range. Clean, had all amenities and decent size. Restaurant/bar - very limited in drink options, the online menu isn't the same as the one you get in person and 25% more price wise than it should be. We had a very poor experience eating at the bar area when they were busier than usual in which our food was with us and then cold before our sauces and cutlery had got to us. I'm not blaming the staff, they always seemed to be understaffed in honesty. They did compensate with some free drinks vouchers, but not good enough at all. They quite often ran out of what you were drinking and had to go scampering around for it. Spa/wellness - really good. You get access to the sauna/steam/swimming as standard, but the hot tub in the spa is paywalled for £15 for half an hour session then use of the outside garden area, which you have to book in. Spa area overall was very good, I got package deals which included 2 spa treatments, hot tub session, afternoon tea and use of the garden all day for £140. Location and area - you're set back off the main road enough to feel like you're away from everything. Parking is free and plentiful. Buildings are nice with some rich history for the main hall. The hotel as a whole appears to be more geared towards weddings and events, but that's kept in a seperate part of the hotel which is nice. Overall happy with my stay.
