I cannot thank Kings Croft enough for hosting our wedding last weekend. From start to finish, I couldn’t fault them. All staff were attentive and friendly, and were quick to reply to my never ending questions! On the day, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The food was the best wedding food we’ve ever had! Amazing!

On the 25th November kings croft did our mother molly wilson funeral tea We catered for 70 people The food was lovely and the service was outstanding Tea and coffee was free flowing and hot roast beef was topped up. With sandwiches also being replaced when empty Nothing was too much trouble for them , they even gave my dogs some Everyone commented on the lovely food and service Thank you everyone it was the perfect ending for our mother . Went for Sunday Lunch with my partner. The food and service were excellent. Amy, one of the staff a King's Croft, was amazing, and an absolute credit to her employers. She was so helpful, and attentive. Made our afternoon really enjoyable

We stayed here on a visit to Pontefract. The rooms were fine. Communication was poor - I'd sent an email booking a table for dinner and had no reply. The staff were great. The food at dinner wasn't - overcooked pigs in blanket and stuffing balls, dry turkey. Breakfast was OK. SO OK place to stay but don't bank on a good dinner.

I waited 2 days after one of my worst stays in a hotel to write my review after being told by front of house staff that they would look into why my booking went so horribly wrong and no one has contacted me since they got my money. So this shows me and also future stayers how much they actually respect the people who stay at their hotel. Everything was fine till I arrived and as I was walking in I noticed a wedding reception (may I add the hotel layout is not the best, as you walk in the main bar is in front of you meaning you have to navigate round people to get to the reception then do it again to get the the stairs. Can be awkward if you've got a few bags and it's busy with people drinking. Wouldn't say that's ideal if you're going with kids). When I checked in that's when I found out I was in the main hotel not ones away from it, but I didn't realise the rooms had no sound proofing done to them till I went to go to sleep about 10pm, music loud enough I couldn't sleep and then at midnight when that stopped the drunk people being vocal and banging in their rooms till around 1am. On to the room I booked executive the room was large but the bathroom was tiny just big enough for 1, the view of what looked like the back of the kitchen and trees was poor. Unfortunately can't rate the breakfast as I slept through it due to having next to no quality sleep. When I raised this with the front of house staff they said the booking person kieran has put something on my booking so they didn't move me and they would wait for this person to come in before dealing with it. I've waited 2 days and nothing. As long as they get your money they have no real care if you get a decent stay. I wouldn't recommend this place ever to anyone who values being shown respect on their stay.
