We had the best time at Rockliffe hall. The staff were so friendly, and always happy to help. We had supper at Clubhouse both nights, where the food was exquisite and the sommelier (Alesso) was so passionate and knowledgeable. Lewis, our waiter on the second night, was also fabulous, as were all the team. The BEST dirty martini I’ve ever had. We also loved the bar overlooking the outdoor cinema - the team there always remembered us and our drinks order. Everyone cared a lot and it really showed. The spa team were also super, especially a lady who was in charge of the spa garden - definitely worth the extra to use that area - quiet and super relaxing. I felt like we were in Spain! The bedrooms were a great size , with lush views over the golf course . I loved the walk in wardrobe style area which included a makeup station. Lots of great films also included on the tv.

We were charged £145 for a bottle of wine when we don’t drink alcohol !! We realised after paying our dinner that it was too much for what we ordered. Reading other reviews it seems a recurring theme not just a one off!!! They apologised and promised to refund the money plus service charge of £31..guess what we only received the £145! Dishonesty is their prominent feature so please check everything!
