What a treat! Such wonderful staff from Reception to Restaurant and especially Spa staff Holly and Amy. My Niece and I needed pampering and Holly and Amy definitely did that. Warm, experienced and understanding people. 1st class thank you so much, really tasty food too, we'll be back.

We had a gorgeous, last-minute spa experience at the Feversham Arms Verbena Spa today, including a 30 minute treatment and a delicious lunch and complimentary drink. It was lush! The spa is small, but was quiet so very relaxed and we managed to experience all areas without feeling rushed or crowded. Coffee was quality, and the food was gorgeous. Best part of the spa though is the staff team... so friendly, professional, and welcoming, a credit to the venue. We'll definitely try to come back!

Sadly, the Feversham has taken a bit of the downturn in recent years. We are regularly visitors of the hotel and decided to do the spa, dinner, bed and breakfast package, which for nearly £600 we expected to be first class value. I’ll start with the positives. The spa remains excellent, staff are so helpful and friendly and our treatments were lovely and relaxing. The dinner was good too, not sure the value was good, with most mains costing £35+, but it was fine Dining and good service so no complaints. Our main issue was with our room. It was advertised as a spa view room, which as you can see from photos is a bit of a joke. We took our dogs and they only provide two rooms for these, so they should be more upfront on what room you get. Our shower was broken and water went everywhere, I can’t upload the videos but you get the idea. Finally, the air con was not working and the fixed towel rads were on full heat with no on off switch accessible. It meant we had a very hot night, with a desk fan keeping us awake. Whilst the hotel management were apologetic and did offer some gestures of goodwill, it did not negate the fact the rooms are tired, in need of significant re-investment, and it sadly changed the experience of our stay. I’d recommend whilst they fix these that people stay at the Black Swan and then just pay to use the spa.
