A versatile square where you can relax, shop and see performances. Mostly a large quiet area where individuals and groups go to chill and tour groups talk about the Cutty Sark. As the weekend nears the music of buskers fill the garden and in particular, a singing blues musician playing his steel guitar and harmonica is a sound that has become synonomous with the square. During holidays and some weekends the west side of the gardens becomes filled with market stalls mostly selling food with the odd homewares, clothing accessories and music stalls chucked it. When the market isn't there you can be treated to special events, I saw an all day Diwali festival performances here recently and I looking forward to the christmas tree lighting later in the year.

A special space in Greenwich dominated by the once fastest clipper in the West the stunning Cutty Sark now restored and well-encased in glass for protection which is a bit of a shame! Beautiful gardens with all round seating and views of the river Thames, the Old Royal Naval College & Gardens. From here you can walk under the Thames to the north bank for free or up river to Deptford Creek and beyond or catch a boat to North Greenwich (south) or upstream to Westminster from Greenwich Pier..⚓️🚢🎡

Don't know why is it called gardens, it's just a big concrete square usually full with tourists on the summer time. Anyway the view is nice and you can find lot of shops near to it
