The Yard, built in the summer of 2011, is a multi-award winning theatre and bar based in a converted warehouse in Hackney Wick - five minutes’ walk from the Overground and right on the edge of the Olympic Park. Built from recycled and reclaimed materials, the theatre stage is large, the white wall is great for projections and we can seat 110. With a capacity of 300, the adjoining bar is the perfect place for events.

The ampitheatre has been purposefully designed to accommodate both the epic and the intimate. It features a beautiful untreated concrete floor, lighting and is ideal for all kinds of performances, shows, presentations and conferences.

This is a lovely little indie theatre, a stone's throw from Hackney Wick overground. The staff were super friendly and good at offering advice re food and drink. There is a small menu which was full of tasty options. Will certainly keep my eye out for future theatre listings. Would be very happy to go back.
