Mulberry House is a hidden gem nestled within the beautiful Essex countryside village of High Ongar, ideally situated just 40 minutes from central London.
Easily accessible - 10 minute drive from Epping train station (central line) / 19 minute drive from Chelmsford station, which can be easily reached from London Liverpool St station /
There are 24 Boutique bedrooms onsite both available in the original Georgian House or in the courtyard rooms, set within the beautiful grounds. Along with the convenience of accommodating free parking for up to 150 vehicles onsite.

We require 25% deposit upon the point of booking with the remaining balance due two weeks prior to your event date.
The Alderney Suite is a traditional room located on the first floor in the Georgian house. It has neutral décor, a high ceiling and four large windows with views over the lake and grounds. The room is quaint and cosy, perfect for private dining or a small formal meeting.

January 2024Mulberry house couldn’t have been more perfect for our special day. The venue is beautiful and the staff are amazing! Clare and the team couldn’t do more for us on the lead up to and the day of our wedding. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel so special. The food was amazing, a few of our guests said it was the best wedding food they’d ever had. I honestly had the best day ever and I want to do it all again, I wish I could get married here every year! Thank you Mulberry you really deserve the awards. Love Leanne and Terry 31.12.23

March 2024Enjoyed an evening here for an event. Whilst catering for over 80npeople, the salmon was perfect. Food was really tasty, served quickly and was "just enough" not to still wantore and also not to be too full to enjoy the dance floor. Really beautiful surroundings accentuated with lighting. Staff were fast and efficient and it was great to see them sing and dance along to the music whilst cleaning up - I mean you have to enjoy what you're doing right?

March 2024Absolutely enjoyed our afternoon tea on Tuesday. Staff were friendly and helpful and knowledgeable explaining the food etc. And giving us top ups . Grounds was lovely and well kept Will be back soon. Only criticism is the ramp on entry didn't notice it with all the gravel, didn't see a sign. See you again soon

March 2024Had a Royal afternoon tea here this week.. everything was perfect.. in particular our waitress who was so pleasant and attentive.. nothing was too much trouble ..that was Sammy!!! Food was delicious and as we couldn’t finish it all we had cute goodie bags to take the rest home! Coffee was great.. and tea was equally enjoyable! The whole experience was something remember .. and must be repeated!!! PS.. scones were beautiful!!

March 2024Came for afternoon tea. Decent amount of food provided for 3 people. Well looked after by the tea room staff and more teas offered often. Yummy selection of cakes!
