We had a wonderful time. The hotel is a little bit outdated, but the room was warm, clean and spacious. The restaurant is very nice with decent portions and affordable prices. The staff are friendly and polite. I wish I knew it before the opening hours for kids for the spa, but overall it is very well equipped with everything that you need! We definitely will come back! Thank you for making our weekend special 😊

Absolutely fabulous 3 days stay over New Year including NYE. The staff were all so friendly and helpful right from the minute you walk into the reception area and then all through our stay, restaurant staff and Spa staff all excellent. The hotel felt homely and very welcoming. We had an amazing deal with bed breakfast, £25 voucher for one of the evening meals, a bottle of prosecco in the room, afternoon tea and two treatments in the lovely spa attached to the hotel. New Years Eve masquerade ball was also really well executed with a live band, attention to detail with the masks provided, great fun!! Also great location being so near to Chester.

Stayed here for a spa break and what an experience. The spa was good, the hotel was superb. Rooms were spotless and the beds were very comfortable. Bedding was extremely crisp white and beautiful. The meals were delicious and cooked to perfection, steak dinner and full English breakfast , but what made our stay so enjoyable was the waitress called Faye Nothing was too much trouble, she was so Friendly and welcoming. We also praised her work to the manager. Faye is a credit to the hotel such a lovely young lady 5 stars for her service Thank you so much Faye

Hi, this my honest review. We booked 2 nights for our anniversary, it was nearly £500 for a good sized room with breakfast for 2 mornings and £50 towards an evening meal in the restaurant, with a bottle of prosecco thrown in, and 2 treatments of your choice and an afternoon tea for 2. All staff were excellent, friendly and nothing was too much trouble, the place was spotless and seems to be newly decorated, the food in the restaurant is not too badly priced but the drinks prices are very high, the food on the first night was excellent but overcooked on the second night. Breakfast is shockingly overpriced at £24 per person luckily ours was in with the deal, the continental breakfast choice was great and the full English was good except for the sausage and bacon were cremated under a heat lamp(the bacon was inedible) and no coffee machine you had to ask for extra drinks. The spa treatments were great according to the Mrs and the pool and steam rooms and sauna were really good. Verdict.... Pricey... But overall mostly excellent especially the staff... And despite the food errors and high prices we would book again.

I've only been here two hours so far and I need to leave this review! Such a lovely rural location, close to the Wirral, Liverpool and Chester. Now let's start with the spa... Dated, raised tiles, scum in the drains and around the edges of the steam room... If you have OCD stay away you wouldn't think we've just come out of a pandemic! smelly drains, footbath still not working since my last visit 9 months ago. Rude spa reception staff. Garden room was lovely with a chilled vibe, literally chilled no heating on, air vents dirty, LV flooring coming loose. Swimming pool freezing to the point you have goose bumps even when swimming. You need to reintroduce your mystery shoppers as this is shocking, I want to like this place so much as it used to be so good... You're living I think on the elemis brand but it's not great...come on guys sort it out. Our poor husbands were told last time not to book this hotel and unfortunately for us they booked it again!! Rooms very dated asked for a twin on booking given a double, good job the house keeping was still on site to prep our correct room. Let's see how the restaurant fares tonight......
