Rooms outstanding, spacious, and comfortable. Service not quite a 100% but very close. Food, afternoon tea excellent with sandwiches, quiche, fruit/cheese scones, also an assortment of small cakes. Dinner, great menu and choice. Would recommend the 3 pork evening meal. Location, the number 3 bus from the entrance of the hotel, takes you to the city centre in 35/40 minutes. I would definitely recommend and looking forward to returning in March.

The experience (our first castle stay) was awesome! Loved the ambience and walking the trails around the grounds. Was nice, peaceful and refreshing out of the city.

My family and I spent three days at Melville for the Christmas experience. The castle is a unique experience. The rooms are cute and comfortable and everything is clean and tidy. The grounds are exquisite and we had a fabulous time exploring and taking in the view. The food was to die for. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my child who is vegan. Everything was delightful but the thing I appreciated most was the staff. We were greeted with kindness and smiles by every staff member we came in contact with. Everyone was warm and accommodating from the time we checked in until the time we checked out. I would definitely stay again.

Gorgeous hotel with stunning rooms. Breakfast was greasy and not worth £17.50 but dinner was lovely. The pork was delicious. There were 5 of us staying in 3 rooms but staff were unable to split our drinks bill and expected us to work it out ourselves.
