Lovely venue. Clean, modern, light and airy, and with wonderful acoustics. We also booked the q park on First Street through them which was very convenient, secure and good value for money. An excellent trip to Manchester to see the NCO performing Destination Russia.

This is an absolutely beautiful building both inside and out. This is the type of building of an era by gone sadly. It is worth making a trip to Manchester just to visit this building even if you have no reason to go inside. It is an historical landmark in Manchester and if you do go inside you will be as equally impressed with the interior. The staff are very friendly and down to earth and as helpful as you could hope for. I love beautiful old historic British architecture and to anyone of the same mind, this will not disappoint.

Great acoustics, especially for classical concerts - pop/rock a bit patchy in this regard. Comfortable seating cleverly arranged gives a good view to all but the shortest. Easy access from adjacent parking or Deansgate tram stop, and helpful staff, on the whole.

I went to see Nigel Kennedy this evening, it has a very spacious entrance area with bar and Café bar, toilets, shop and box office. On the next floor is the circle bar, I love the architecture, the lines and the curves. The actual hall is acoustically grand, with an impressive organ at the back of the stage. Kennedy had a small select group of fellow musicians a cello, piano (which Kennedy actually played very well), double bass, guitar and Spanish guitar. Pure brilliance from start to finish. I have seen numerous concerts here and all have been awesome.

Whilst the wheelchair access is 'fairly' good (the doors are tricky to open), the view, I feel, is not good. The wheelchair seats are in Row A which gives you an ankle view of the first violinists only. You cannot see the rest of the orchestra at all. This is just for the info of other wheelchair users.
