March 2024Stayed for one night as was bought for a gift for myself and my other half. Really glad we chose this hotel. From the moment we checked in to the second we checked out everyone was so polite, kind and friendly. We had dinner and breakfast here and the food was great. Fresh and came out nice and quick. Rooms clean to a nice standard and in my opinion brilliant value for the price they charge. If I'm ever in the area again I would definitely stay here again.

June 2024We stayed here for two nights on their special deal which was great value for such a lovely hotel. The service and staff were lovely and we felt so welcome. We even had a lovely card and drink voucher to help us celebrate. Thank you for a great stay.

June 2024We came for a night away to celebrate a big birthday and wedding anniversary. Our room was in the old wing not in the main house . The carpet on the way to our room was in desperate need of replacement and didn't bode well for our room . We had room 45 and on entering it was large, airy and very clean . Yes it needed updating especially the bathroom, but was very clean and the bed comfortable. I did however receive a burn on my wrist due to the towel rail being broken . Dinner and breakfast were served in the Tara restaurant. On both occasions the food was lovely. Tasty and plentiful. The staff were wonderful, chatty , friendly and accommodating. A real asset to the hotel. The hotel sits overlooking a beautiful valley and you can see for miles. Unfortunately the function marquee had been erected directly obscuring the view. All in all we had a nice time and would return.

May 2024Nice treat on a secret escapes night away. Staff were lovely, very friendly but professional and courteous. Room was comfy, a little dated and hot. Tara restaurant is a must, the food was sublime! Better than some of the rosette restaurant we have eaten in, well done Chef xx

May 2024Very nice charming hotel with lovely views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our original room had a heating issue i.e. was too hot but they changed and upgraded us to another room. The hotel is in need of some upgrades, decorating etc but the great news is that is why they can currently give some really good deals.
