March 2024Fantastic room and amenities. The hotel is just off the main road, perfect for our needs. We arrived a little early and were told it would £20 to speed up the room being made ready for us before the official check-in time, alternatively we were offered to wait until check-in having a drink within the bar overlooking the golf course. The swimming pool area, sauna, and spa were good, the jacuzzi was a bit overly frothy. Breakfast was a continental or full English style buffet, which was nice, the team working within the restaurant were very polite and courteous. Would happily stay again!

December 2023Excellent experience in staying the hotel for Christmas. Quiet and in a golf course with good view. The family room is very good with one king size and two single beds with somewhat private layout, I have to say it is the best family room I have ever seen, far more than expected by my son who thought it would be a sofa bed. The restaurant is also very good. All staff are so kind and friendly. will definitely go back and perhaps try to play a golf in the course. Highly recommended!

March 2024The gym and spa are brilliant. Not just for a hotel, but in general they are well cared for and just what you need. The breakfast is great too - good selection and the eggs are cooked to perfection. The rooms themselves are comfortable, but just a bit tired. It was close to a 5 star, but the shower in the room was a bit intermittent on heat (too hot, just right, cold, too hot etc). And the rooms could maybe do with a revamp - beds are comfy and amenities are all accounted for. Having said that, I would absolutely stay there again and the staff are a complete joy. Particularly the lady who checked me in and the lads in the bar.

March 2024The outside of the hotel is lovely and the view from our room was beautiful but the room was old and smelt damp and the cleanliness was not great at all. The bathroom had hair and dirt on the floor, the sides in the bathroom looked like they hadn’t been wiped over and the sink wasn’t secured and wobbled every time it was used. The shower had missing grout and was mouldy and when using the sink it backed up and didn’t drain which then made the water come up through the shower and which gave off an eggy smell. The pillows also had holes in. We were in room 27 which was quiet and the furthest away from all amenities.

March 2024Booked a spa day the treatment rooms and ladies were adorable and great. Everything else was very average or poor. Pool cold, steam room burning, robes don't soak up wet. Not enough loungers. Served coffee with sour milk then asked again and only half the order arrived. Afternoon tea - half a box of tea bags and dry bread on sandwiches. Terrible choice, had 4 people fighting over one quarter of a decent sandwich, service not great. Few locks on lockers in chaging room and they were a mess, had to tell them to clear them up. Showers were warm though. Didn't see any amazement to give feedback hence this review. Place is run by kids, apart from spa ladies. £75 was a rip off for what we didn't get.
