This is probably the best Hilton in the UK. The hotel is in a historic building, looks very impressive while very clean and does not feel dated at all. The shampoos and the creams are in big reusable containers - sustainable and high quality. The pool is very conveniently located inside and is very calm to use. I appreciated that it has child-friendly times too. If you get a room with a view on the castle, it's spectacular. The service overall was superb, fast, friendly, effective. The bar downstairs is really nice for afternoon drinks. For the breakfast, the selection that is laid out outside is relatively limited, note that you can order from the menu.

Very big beds that were very cozy. Toilet was very grand and nice. There was a door that seperated the toilet from the rest of the bathroom so when you are using the toilet other people can also shower or wash their hands without you having to worry about privacy. Staff very nice, told us their names and wished us a happy stay at the hotel. People 18 and above must show staff their passports upon check in. Great view of the city.

Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh is amazing and very special to our heart. We discovered this last year and were blown away with the services and the most courteous staff. I love being in the hotel with my family and love the professionalism of all its staff the front desk the door the concierge the restaurant everyone is amazing. Christine at the front desk who checked us in in the most amazing person and (breakfast)restaurant people are all so hardworking and very well trained at what they do. the food is amazing so Kudos to all the entire staff of Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh, the best hotel in the world :)

While there were a few issues with the hotel and room, overall this is an exceptional 5 star hotel in an amazing location and an amazing city, so you can’t complain too much. Our room was tiny and basically in the attic, but we did choose the cheapest room. That being said, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom modern and we had a great view. Service overall is exceptional, as you would expect of a hotel this caliber in Europe. Breakfast (especially if you have status at Hilton and get it for free) is amazing. Little touches like the turn down service and chocolates round it out perfectly. Would I stay there again? In a heartbeat, but I would probably splurge for a slightly nicer room.

My wife and I stayed here at the end of November 2023. Our experience was extremely enjoyable. The staff were great and very helpful, especially the porter James who couldn't have helped us enough. Looking forward to going back soon
