Stayed 2 nights for a conference and didn’t want to leave! The room was perfect for 2 people and although the dark wood is a tad dated the room itself was spotless. A great bathroom complete with nice shower gel & shampoo also very clean. The food is excellent from Breakfast til Dinner time but the stars of the trip were the wonderful ladies in the dining area who greeted me as if I was their own family. Sadia & Rezwana are absolute treasures in this jewel of an Hotel!

I work at UoB and I've honestly stayed all over the place travelling in from London - this was a great stay and I'll be back. I booked a single room which was cosy, comfortable, warm and clean. My bed was near the window but didn't feel a chill at all and the view was really very nice! I had cushions and a couple of pillows which is more than I've had anywhere else! Clean ketttle with tea and hot chocolate - and very tasty cookies at reception. I kept going back for more and reception was very welcoming. There's a proper desk in the room and some areas to work in the hallway too. The place isn't brand spanking new, but its well presented and modern. I saw patrol staff around the hotel and campus and felt very safe. Pluses I didn't get a chance to try: - gym and pool facilities are available just across the road - room service and wake up call service available My only cons: - no clear notice about having to book parking prior to arrival, so parked on the road and paid on Ringo- I think it works out cheaper. - the shower was a little tight might be bigger in a double room - restaurant seems pricey, but there are options for takeaway across the road (literally one minute away). Update So much better than UoBs own Peter House
