Very disappointed with this hotel I had made up my mind to go for a little more luxurious hotel than I usually do but following my experience at this hotel I am wishing I had stuck to my other option of Holiday Inn Express After entering the room for the first time we used the toilet and found there was already no toilet paper left and no spare in sight We were going out for the afternoon and requested a replacement from reception Upon arrival back at our room later we could not believe that a toilet roll had been left outside the room which was 3/4 used 🤔 Next morning we again spoke to reception who said they would take care of it and the lack of hand wash or soap which was also missing Again we arrived back to our room after a nice day out and still no toilet paper or soap We noticed housekeeping further along the corridor and spoke to them directly being told there was an issue with the toilet paper and we were supposed to use the bottles provided next to the washbasin marked Shampoo 🤔 However a full toilet roll and soap were then provided The room itself apart from these issues was large clean and comfortable Being on a room only basis we went out for breakfast and other meals although we decided to take breakfast on our last morning £12 pp buffet breakfast Selection on offer was perfectly okay but the quality of the ingredients and the cooking of them was very poor Egg poached or fried were hard sausages and bacon overcooked Altogether a very disappointing experience and I would not stay in another Crowne Plaza again We have stayed in plenty of hotels 3 and 4 star in various cities throughout the country but never Crowne Plaza this was the first and last time

It was good. The room was average but comfortable, same for the bathroom. The pool area is nice but could be bigger, and more loungers / relaxation areas would be good. Breakfast is okay, the staff were all very nice and friendly but overall it felt overpriced for a slightly fancier premiere Inn.

The service was good but the food was just OK. Soup came out cold, the main was very greasy and the DJ played very strange music !

We stayed overnight due to attending a business awards evening, Check in was quick and easy and reception staff were polite and professional giving clear instructions on room location and breakfast details. The room was clean and well decorated with a very good bathroom and shower. The bed was very comfortable and provided a great nights sleep.The awards event was organised and hosted well with a really lovely meal presented well with good attention paid to dietary requirements and allergen awareness. The bar staff were quick and efficient despite long ques at times and drinks were reasonably priced with a good choice. Breakfast was buffet style but again well presented with lots of choice and the staff on hand were attentive and helpful. There are a lot of hotels in Newcastle but The Crowne Plaza is definitely well worth a stay !!!

Great hotel in an excellent location.The hotel has interesting public areas. The rooms are generous and are well decorated with a great bathroom. All staff were excellent. Good welcome at reception and really friendly effective housekeeping staff. The restaurant staff are also very accommodating. The only criticism is the English breakfast was tepid. The tea was disappointing as it was lukewarm .
