Nice place. Nice garden. Nice atmosphere. Food is good, bit of a Spanish twist (?). I was slightly let down by the service. We sat in the garden at the back which was lovely but we were a bit forgotten. This would normally really p**s me off but I don't think they meant it. Generally they were lovely. We took our 3 year old with us for early evening food and drinks but I would put The Gatehouse more at the adult end of the scale rather than totally family friendly.

Food and ambiance are spot on. The service lets it down a bit losing it a star. Things took a long time to arrive, our table and other tables had to remind staff about our orders, things arrived a little chaotically. Otherwise very good though.

Great place for a drink! Beautiful atmosphere and the outdoor area is lovely. The food was a little disappointing, we ordered the fish and chips which were average and unfortunately some of our chips were hard in the middle

Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. Very generous portions. Helpful friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

Very nice food and good service. Shame the kitchen closes so early and you have to order all your food at 8.20pm on an 8pm table booking. We didn’t get to order any desert. And they close the garden at 10pm so we ended up leaving then.
