Great place for concerts, stand up comedy graduation ceremonies and other type of performances. The Lord Mayor offices are here as well as the City Council chamber. The Guildhall hosted the International Comic Con for first time in 2018 and they will do so again in 2019.

We recently went for comic con. They usually have good events on and this was no exception. The best toilets are definitely in the basement. They have a few bars, a main stage and various other multipurpose rooms available. It's a beautiful building and an important Portsmouth location. Very accessible.

Amazing venue. Absolutely loved seeing You Me At Six there. Will definitely be back. I've seen YM@6 at other venues. But nothing tops this 💕

While it was never my favorite venue, I've been to a lot of good gigs here. Unfortunately, the bar does not accept cash any more, so I was unhappy (having spent over £65 to get in to the gig) & the revelation put a bit of a dampener on the evening. Despite being the closest 'large' venue to where I live, Portsmouth Guildhall has now been added to my boycott list as I do not support face-to-face businesses or venues that don't accept cash. The venue needs to make it clear that this is now a cashless venue BEFORE people buy tickets & get to the bar... That way, they can choose to see the show at a better venue elsewhere.
