Inspired by Izakayas, Apothecary East combines a relaxed cocktail bar with an elegant dining room serving contemporary Japanese cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, rare spirits, beers and wines.
It's an ideal location for group or private dining, boardroom meetings through to large standing receptions and drinks parties. The venue has a variety of different areas available for hire making it the perfect spot for any celebration.
Open for drinks as well as lunch, light bites, dinner, and brunch on Saturday’s. We take reservations for parties of all sizes and walk-ins are welcome throughout the day.
Music is eclectic with live DJ’s playing on Friday and Saturday nights from 7pm until 12am.
Our Main Restaurant can seat up to 75 guests for a formal meal. Banquette sofas, exposed brickwork, wide-slatted wooden dividers and soft furnishings are combined to provide a smart and contemporary dining room.
A bright option for group lunches as the space is flooded with natural daylight through the skylight ceiling. In the evening the large orb bulbs are dimmed to provide a sophisticated eatery. Set menus are offered for all private functions and served to share.

January 2024Lovely luxurious space and really good food. The food was quick to come out of the kitchen. The lady who served us during dinner was incredibly friendly and charismatic and overall great host. Negatives: Towards the end of our evening the restaurant was quite empty but still open for another hour. One man very rudely slammed our bill down on our table to try to get us to leave (we were finishing our cocktails). We overheard him saying “they’re taking their time”, it seems he was hoping to get guests out so he could leave early. He was unfriendly and didn’t say goodbye when we left. Also an alarm went off quite a few times during our evening which killed the atmosphere a bit.
