Nice place in Hoxton. Decent beer variety, good atmosphere, good location. Beer at a standard London price. I went to a gig (A Place to Bury Strangers), and the security was pretty good. Place for gigs is not too big, but the light, smoke, and sound was good. I did not have a bite or looked at the prices of food, but it seemed like a nice place to dine.

Hoxton Square is famous for chicken and craft beer. With some of the hottest wings you will ever eat that come complete with a disclaimer and gloves. The craft beer is in plentiful supply along with traditional pub classic Ales and Largers. The happy hour runs from 5 until 7 with two for one cocktails that are made to a high standard using quality spirits. The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant with a small amount of outdoor seating and plenty of space inside. The one criticism would be the cleanliness of the lavatories which is sometimes lacking in soap and toilet paper but this is generally due to the high volume of customers and bar staff tied up making cocktails.

The service was terrible. Allegedly the kitchen was very busy - so busy that orders could not be placed. Which I thought was very confusing considering the fact that most parties are there for their famous wings. Once we finally had an opportunity to order (1 hr later) the food arrived around 45 mins later - missing a whole platter. This was also repeated later on when my friend ordered 2 items and only received one... Also, for some reason, the patrons of this establishment do not understand the concept of a reserved table (even when the tables are clearly already occupied - annoying). The wings were nice - I guess. Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to try the challenge wings since they decided not to serve them to me, even though I paid for them. The vibe of the venue is also pretty cool but not unique, as if you’ve been out in the Hoxton area once, venues like this start to look and feel very similar... Although, I do have to say that the music they played there was very good.

Absolutely disgraceful. After traveling down to London for the weekend we were told about how good the wings are. I’m with a group of friends, and after me and my partner ordered, our friends were told that there had been a big order so they have closed the kitchen. So I had to get a refund. Closing the kitchen, because they can’t handle a big order? And me and my friends miss out?! Obviously not the most professional place if it can’t handle a big order. Easily lost £100 from us. I will be passing this on to others not to bother. No apology and no one cared enough to speak to us.
