March 2024I arrived very late after 900 mile journey. Bar was closed and restaurant. I checked in and Mathew and Simon heard of my plight. They could not have been more hospitable and helpful. They opened the bar for me and EVEN went into the kitchen and made me a delicious late night snack. Because everything was closed they couldn’t even charge me. These two guys were brilliant. Amazing service. Thank you guys and very very much appreciated.

March 2024Lovely venue for a wedding. I am a wedding photographer so get to go to lots of places and meet lots of people. This is a good all rounder really. Lots of indoor and outdoor space and staff so lovely and helpful. Perfect day!

December 2023The hotel building itself might have seen better days nevertheless the room was super spacious and it had everything we needed. But what really made our stay was the people working there. Even though it was Christmas , which isn’t exactly the time of year you want to spent at work, they were all so friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome at any time. Especially the breakfast and service crew were always smiling and never seemed to be stressed out even when it was really busy. Also Christmas dinner was super yummy, I had the hake which I really enjoyed a lot. Overall, we had a great stay! Big thank you to everyone that worked during the Christmas days !!!

February 2024We did the spa overnight package, we liked the spa and thought it was good for the price, the treatments that we had (back massage & facial) were good. The food for dinner was also good & the menu had good variety. However for us the overnight stay let it down unfortunately. After our relaxing spa day we were looking forward to a good nights sleep. There was a wedding going on at the hotel so I’m assuming it was the wedding guests who were running around the corridors shouting & slamming doors until the early hours of the morning. It’s a shame because it’d be a lovely stay if the wedding guests were given rooms in one area and spa guests had neighbouring rooms in another area.
