The Bloomsbury Theatre Building was officially opened in 1968 as The Central Collegiate Building.
The auditorium, which held over 500 people soon became the Collegiate Theatre. It was renamed in 1982 as Bloomsbury Theatre to reflect its geographical location as well as the artistic associations of the name. The main theatre was closed in 2015 and there are plans to reopen a theatre von a similar scale in 2018.
The Bloomsbury Theatre Studio is a multi-use, black box studio space suitable for all forms of production. The floor is sprung with black dance floor permanently installed. It is also suitable for presentations and lectures. It is available in various seating layouts and capacities depending on the type of event.

Finding Santa Easily located and friendly staff. The auditorium was clean and warm but not uncomfortable. Enjoyable day out

Theatre, cafe and staff were nice but the show "Finding Santa" was not what the title implied ! It was only about a bag of letters to Santa. Santa doesn't feature in it, nor appear in it. As we left, lots of children including our children and grandchildren were asking why didn't they find or see Santa. The dialog from the actors was far too fast ! We are English teachers and we couldn't understand a lot of the dialog so I don't know how the children followed the story ? When the actors actually addressed the audience directly for an answer, the actors spoke much slower and clearer.
