Not what it was, it used to be a 5* but now it’s no higher than a 3. Food tastes great, but very small and uneven portions (bought 2 of the same meal, but difference in amount given on plate). The waiteress asked how everything was and I mentioned the difference is size and she shrugged her shoulders, smiled and walked off. We were going to book 20 people in for a meal next month but have decided to go elsewhere. Such a shame as it is a lovely place.

Picturesque and great location. Service is excellent. Would have given 5 stars but getting there is not easy...

Really poor customer service, key card continually did not work, information states that you can request for your room to be cleaned, when in actual fact they mean your room will only be cleaned every third day. No effort is made to keep people leaving the restaurant remotely quiet, seem to just be focused on weddings as opposed to guests staying in the hotel

Beautiful place and the room was gorgeous!! But was incredibly noisy, felt like we were sleeping next to the M25! I'm sure the bed even rattled as lorries went passed! So don't stay in room 5, but ask for a quiet room!

One night stay as a surprise for bf birthday, we slept like kings in the bedroom and it was very clean, quiet and warm! Morning breakfast was delicious and very filling
