The rooms were spacious, quiet and comfortable. The first night our AC was not working they had someone check and they realized there was an issue. They switched our room quickly and even sent someone up to help us move our things. It’s also conveniently located near the Gloucester Road and South Kensington station stops.

We booked a standard room which was surprisingly roomy for London. It had everything we needed for the 2 nights we stayed for the London Marathon. My only issue was that the room was noisy due to traffic, and the curtains did not fully close, letting light in. We paid for breakfast as this was not included. This was very expensive at over £56 for two people. Granted, you could eat everything on the menu if you wanted. The service and staff were faultless, and everyone was friendly. The hotel is old with creaky floorboards and narrow corridors but this added to its charm.

Not bad for the price. Convenient location in Kensington Street. Friendly staff, not fancy but good breakfast. Rooms are very small, just like other hotels in Europe that are located close to the central part of the city.

Great location, lovely staff and nice pub. But their 4th star is hanging on by a thread. Rooms are in need of updating, my room didn't have bedside lamps, their were stains on the carpet, furniture is looking rough. My friend upgraded to a premium room that was tiny compared to my standard and only had one electrical outlet. Apparently premium applies to the bed type? Nice place for 1 or 2 nights if you get a deal, otherwise better hotels are available at the price point.

Service at the reception is average, they do not pay attention to the booking at all. We booked King/Twin Standard Room, mentioned in comments wedding anniversary. During check-in receptionist did not look that we already have membership( as booking was made directly with hotel) and promote us to be a members. As a result: we received 2 separate beds and the comments mentioned were not read at all. When we mentioned that to the reception, the receptionist made no any effort, only asked when it was mentioned, after that trying to sell us taxi transfer to the airport. The staff in the restaurant friendly. Only minus: the breakfast did not have vegetables, but there was a good choice to order from the menu. We stayed here couple years ago and the serviced was exceptional. Now it’s average. This is not what expected to stay at 4stars hotel paying £200+ for a night.
