The Inn on the Lake is an absolute gem in the heart of Kent. From the moment you arrive, the stunning lakeside setting takes your breath away. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and offer incredible views. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff—they are attentive, welcoming, and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. The dining experience is also top-notch, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. Whether it’s a romantic getaway or a family vacation, the Inn on the Lake provides an idyllic backdrop for a perfect stay. Highly recommended!

My husband and i were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with a few friends and iur best man and his wife on 2nd march 2024. We first came to Inn on the lake in 1972 when it was then called The Laughing Water Motel. My husband and best man were in the navy then and based at Chatham. So booked into Motel on way back on leave! My husband and I have been several times since over the years, always had a good time with the caberet nights and have taken loads of friends on different occasions. The New Years Eve night is something else. Well worth a visit. It is located in a glorious place in kent with a beautiful lake behind it. The Lakeside view rooms are lovely (as are the otherside rooms) especially the downstairs ones as the patio doors open onto the patio area of the lake . The rooms are very spacious and fully equiped with hairdryer and tea/coffee facilities. The decor needs a bit of an update but all very clean! The staff are all very helpful and very pleasant. Hopefully intend to go back again god willing! Would definately recommend a stay. My only grip is the roundabout for exit for inn on the lake. It's not very clearly signposted. Everytime we go, we end up going round roundabout 3 times before getting right one. Think a sign saying inn on the lake would help for the right exit Had a great night though!

A good central location for a hotel for our needs. Its popularity is suggested by how busy it was and it was only a Monday. The room was lovely and warm with a comfortable bed and mattress with firmness that was just right. The bathroom was lovely and large as well with extemely hot water which suied me perfectly. The view of the lake was just beautiful and a nice surprise, even in the fog. Little ducks pottering around outside the window was very tranquil. Check in was smooth and informatiovd and greeted with a nice smile and warm welcome. The decor in the rooms is a little dated but its still quirky and homely. Very good price and, especially with the breakfast included. My only hang up for the whole trip was that poached egg was a little bit overcooked, but it still tasted lovely. Will definitely be back in the future. Thank you and a big well done to ALL of the staff
