Amidst the hustle and bustle of the M2, lies a haven of calm: The Inn on the Lake hotel is picturesquely set in twelve acres of woodland and nature; offering a friendly and relaxed hotel environment, and established as a family-run, independent business with strong values.

I arranged a baby shower for my friend and decided to use one of the event room which was absolutely beautiful. A backdrop, ceiling drapes and and a beautiful view of the lake. We had Gemma help us with everything on the day and was so lovely. We had afternoon tea and it was again delicious. The service, room and location was incredible. I'd definitely come back.

The heating didn't work, no carpet in room and the plastic floor was split and lifting. The loo is filthy, old and tired which pretty much sums up the whole place. The charge point in the room didnt work and the bed had seen better days... The breakfast was disappointing too so better off paying a little more for better accommodation if your staying for more than one day, however, the hotel has character and with a little money spent on updating, cleaning etc, this would be a little gem. Sadly though, it lacks any standard expected in a modern hotel...
