Inn On The Lake, Lakeside Room

Traditional Breakfasts are 1 piece of back bacon, 1 Cumberland sausage, half a fried tomato plus healthy potion of beans and the 1 egg served poached or fried etc so if like me your 6'3" and built like a tank there on the very small side but ok for my 13 year old daughter. Cups and glasses are very small to do be prepared to get up and down every two seconds. The grounds are beautiful and it's very dog friendly with alot around in the dining halls etc so if your out off with that or if the idea of alot of fleas make you iche this is not the place for you . The service are friendly and helpful if you ask them . My daughters are both autistic and obviously love animals but at breakfast my girls can make a mess with suger sachets and split a bit of milk pouring it in the teas and coffees . I don't obviously leave without tidying up these grains of sugar and tiny bit of spilt milk before leaving every time but unfortunately the staff was overheard tutting at clearing away after breakfast and mumbling under her breath . Very unfortunate I don't think we will be returning.

We booked two rooms for one night, at £95.50 per room, £191 in total, and we were extremely disappointed with our stay. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was not warm or friendly. The rooms were dirty and dusty, with poorly cleaned crockery that was simply unusable. We also found stains that appeared to be blood on the bed linen, as well as suspicious stains around the beds. There was also an unpleasant smell throughout the premises. The cleanliness of the bathrooms was also very disappointing. As for the breakfast, it was far below our expectations. For £191 for two rooms for just one night, we believe we had every right to expect a basic standard of cleanliness, hygiene and service. Unfortunately, our experience was very poor and did not at all meet our expectations. The photos speak for themselves and show some of the issues we found in the rooms. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. A very disappointing experience and extremely poor value for money. We certainly will not be staying here again.
