Loved it at the Mitre. Staff were fantastic from start to finish, friendly and very welcoming! Rooms were quirky and very individual. Lovely touches such as the shortbread and the tea and coffee and mini fridge in the room. Loved the quirky library! In a beautiful location right next to Hampton Court Palace. Good breakfast also in a lovely setting overlooking the river! Would definitely return!

From the moment we arrived for our last minute booking we were made to feel welcome. A glass of mulled port whilst we were checking in was a great touch. Restaurant service was great and although we had a standard room, we had homemade shortbread, lots of water, a good selection of hot beverages and bath robes.

Our experience was great, overall. The service, the attention to detail and the room were all fantastic. I would've liked the heating to have been on in our room for our arrival, after our 5 hour journey! That is my only gripe. The staff in the restaurant were great, especially Skippy, who was our waiter. He was always there to serve us with a smile and was very chatty, funny and knowledgeable when it can to the menu and the drinks available, advising us on a particular type of wine for one of our meals. I would not hesitate to book a stay here in the future. Thank you.

A boutique style hotel with lovely touches to make your own stay extra special. All the staff are very welcoming. The rooms are spacious , clean & very comfortable. If you’re travelling with a dog make sure you get a pet friendly room when you book ( as not all are) …these are located on the ground floor with doors that open onto a patio which is ideal.

We loved this hotel. It is the perfect stay for Kempton races & Hampton Court is literally opposite. From the moment we arrived the service was fantastic, from the receptionist to the waiting staff. Mulled wine on arrival, bags taken to the room which was lovely & warm & very spacious as was the bathroom. The bed was huge with the best mattress I've ever slept on. Breakfast over looking the river was lovely. We would definitely stay here again although we did have a few gripes. The room we stayed in had limited mirrors, 2 in the bathroom & 2 very narrow strips either side of the wardrobe which would've been perfect but for the fact that there were no sockets nearby. I ended up having to use my face fronting camera on my phone to dry & straighten my hair which was not ideal. The drinks are not cheap, we ordered 2 double gin & tonic for a very pricey £31.00. As lovely as she was the receptionist was wearing jeans which for us didn't look very professional. I'm not going to complain about the creaky floorboards because once you are by the rooms it is carpeted & you can't hear them, it also adds to the charm of the hotel.
