Me and my partner recently stayed here for her birthday. We booked an overnight stay with spa and a 3 course dinner. First of all we arrived around 3pm and our room was ready for us, great! The staff were helpful and informative and even though they were teaching a new member of staff, it still was quick and easy. We then used the spa and the facilities alongside, which was amazing. The 55 minute back massage, finishing in a facial and scalp massage was great. The spa staff were so friendly and accommodating, they really do help with this hotel's status. Later on there was the dinner, which we didn't attend. Although the menu looked great to myself, my partner is rather fussy so wanted to pass on this, the hotel didn't mind and they double checked before cancelling fully which was very appreciated. The nights stay was great, such a clean room, such a comfy bed, great bathroom and facilities, Room 38 was all around perfect. Then the breakfast the following morning is where this hotel lost a star, the man running this didn't seem to hold much control when it was a continental breakfast so it's one of the easier types of breakfasts to look over. Instead he got flustered easily and didn't keep track of tables and just let people go and find all their own stuff and as a result forgot to bring coffee (weirdly served to us in a tea pot instead of a cafetiere) and utensils etc. This was a let down, as was the food served as many people have shared the same experience. Overall I highly recommend this place for a stay and spa, but wouldn't attend for food alone. Change this to a well managed cooked breakfast and it'd be an easy 5 star! There is no doubt that there are some issues with this hotel such as inconsistent staffing and attention to detail, and some dodgy heating issues. But the staff really are very friendly and helpful and it's a fantastic location. The natural pool is a wonderful bonus. Dinner was far superior than what one would normally expect. Go with an open mind and be prepared to deal with some quirkiness and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Staff were brilliant, so helpful and friendly, nothing was a problem. Food was excellent, evening menu delicious and plenty of choice for the continental breakfast. Hotel in beautiful area.

The Spa was incredible! I felt like a new woman after my massage with Donna. She has magic hands and was incredibly welcoming ! The relaxation area was lovely too. I had the best time and the afternoon tea was fab too! The staff were very lovely especially Donna ☺️
