We had an awesome experience and time at the Knickerbocker hotel! In a perfect location right on Times Square and is close to 42nd Street/Times Square Subway station. The rooms are really modern as well as a very nice shower and bathroom in the rooms. We've ordered additionally two rooms to fit two people in the same floor and one of them was ready within minutes as the other was ready within hours! The water cans are ready for you in the room once entered, bedding always gets changed and staff are really friendly. One of the staff even gave me an extra card key for one of the two rooms we had. The rooms have Samsung TVs which have really good quality screens and are easy to watch and read and one of the rooms we've had a sofa and queen size bed as the other room just had a queen size bed and are really comfy. Would highly recommend going to this hotel.

What a delight to stay at The Knickerbocker! The rooms are designed so beautifully... simple and modern lines that somehow fit perfectly into the gorgeous historic building. The bathroom amenities make you feel like you're in a spa! A stone's throw from "The Crossroads of the World and yet quiet and restful inside. I especially appreciated the hotel's commitment to environmental sustainability! I will definitely stay at The Knickerbocker again when I need to do an overnight in the city!

Definitely a 5-star hotel! We loved our stay! Service was excellent! Shout out to Maggie at reception and the 2 ladies at the concierge (apologies that I wasn’t able to get your names) Everyone was really friendly and super helpful! The room itself was great! Spacious and clean. It doesn’t come with the usual hot water kettle but it can be requested For us, the location was quite central and there’s a subway station right next to it and the port authority bus terminal was walking distance. We enjoyed our stay in New York and this hote definitely contributed to that. Highly recommended!

Of all the places we could've stayed in Times Square, this was such a better choice than most! The rooms were very big for being in Midtown and were well serviced throughout the day. We had housekeeping come in the morning and again for turndown service after dinner. They took excellent care of our room - it was very clean! We were staying on the top floor, but couldn't hear anything from the rooftop bar which was very nice. (Often an issue in similar places.) Concierge was super helpful and the entire staff was very kind and thoughtful. Would stay here again!

The location of the hotel is excellent – unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. We have now been staying here for 7 days, and despite multiple complaints, the service has not improved. This is definitely not a five-star experience. We repeatedly received dirty or damaged bed linens, unclean towels, and witnessed a shockingly disorganized housekeeping team. Even with the red “Do Not Disturb” light on, staff attempted to enter the room. One employee was explicitly told by the cleaning manager to enter anyway – apparently because we had supposedly informed reception via phone that we were checking out and the room could be cleaned. This was false. We’ve been called several times just to be asked when the room could be cleaned – despite the red light being on. We had clearly communicated that the light would turn green when the room was ready to be serviced, and we even specified a fixed time around noon. Yet, the very next day, we were called again. The hotel requires a $150-per-day deposit as a guarantee at check-in – unfortunately, there is no guarantee whatsoever for the guest to receive even halfway decent service. Repeated complaints have led to no change. On top of that, the shower cuts off every 3 minutes, the water leaks out onto the floor, and the sink often spurts water instead of draining properly. And all of this for +$500 per night? No, thank you. I believe the photos speak for themselves – nothing more needs to be said.
