We were unable to book a meal in the restaurant. I made three separate requests for toilets rolls and a clean towel starting at 10am and these were finally delivered to our room at approximately 6.30pm. We registered our car and had free parking as we were staying for 3 nights. On our last night we were unable to use car park as it was full so parked elsewhere. Early the next morning we moved our car back to hotel car park to load our cases. This was recorded on camera as a new guest and received a Civil Enforcement Parking Charge Notice. We were still resident in the hotel having breakfast and packing our cases. Repeated attempts to contact the hotel have been impossible. The phone is not answered and emails ignored. I am sending the Dukes Head our Civil Enforcement Notice for them to pay as it is their responsibility to their guests to ensure this does not happen to others.

Fabulous, in every way. Room is beautiful, shower perfect, great sized rooms. Conner at the reception was amazing and very helpful. Will definitely be staying here again. I was unable to explore the area as much as I wished this trip but what I did see was historically beautiful. For the Vegans out there check out Poco Lounge a short walk from the hotel. Menu at the hotel looks amazing unfortunately not suitable for my mother's diet restrictions. Will be back to try with my husband for sure. Stay here you won't regret it!

Reception staff were efficient, friendly and helpful and, despite the extension block at the rear of the hotel having the external appearance of a 70s Council block the refurbished rooms were actually great - apart from a few bits of mould in the corners of the shower and a few too many stains on the carpet - minor points, but along with the rowdy noise from the pub across the road, the only reason for 4* rather than 5*. Breakfast was also good, although rather overpriced at £12.95 and stingy on the half slice of black pudding. I'd readily stay again in this central location which is perfect for chilling in Kings Lynn.

Lovely stay in a great location. The room was bigger than I expected as we were on a voucher offer. The hotel is well situated to enjoy Kings Lynn. It does have a car park, but there are several long stay borough car parks that are much cheaper and not too far to walk. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere. Slight draw back with our room was a noisy air conditioning unit that was facing towards our window. The staff were very helpful and a blown light bulb was replaced swiftly. The breakfast was a little disappointing with food only just warm and a bit over cooked for my liking. I expect that a return to buffet service would help here.

Would loved to have given this hotel 5 stars. Only reason got 3. Staff really didn't seem to care. We stayed for 4 nights and every morning a 6am delivery can turned up, staff said it was nothing to do with the hotel , 3rd day took photos to prove it was there delivery. Really didn't care. The second point is the parking. This hotel has by far the worst car park for a hotel of this size. The website says ample parking but the truth is you would be lucky to get a space. We ended up paying every day, not a problem if you are told that when booking. On the plus side food at the hotel was excellent. Really good quality. We had a family room and it was large and very clean and comfortable. Stunning old building.
