Great location, 5 minute walk to Quaysie, 15 minutes to city centre and train station. Hotel looked fresh and modern. Public areas pleasant and clean. Room was spotless, large and had everything I needed. Breakfast was great and staff lovely. Parking for around 30 cars on site, payable at £8.50 per day which is ok

Had a great stay here. Two nights, Sat, Sun. Upgraded the bed for an extra £10 per night, should have been a kingsize bed, but it was a super king. Great location, a walk over the Millennium bridge and up the road for the shops. Good breakfast, could be warmer. Friendly staff. Would stay here again.

Honeymoon night number 9. Didn't realise we had booked the Gateshead Leonardo until we got to Newcastle. But of a trek from the metro to the hotel but thankfully all downhill. As we arrived later than check-in, there's was a coach party arriving. This did not delay our check-in and we we were soon in our room. Front desk has a direct taxi call and we got a message when our taxi arrived. The room was well appointed and very clean. We found the location to be in gentle walking distance of Newcastle town centre along the quayside and over millennium bridge.

This seemed to be reasonably priced compared to other hotels in Newcastle and it's only a short walk over the millennium bridge to the quayside at Gateshead. It's worth paying a little extra for a river view. The common areas are really nice. Reception were really pleasant and helpful.. The standard room I had was absolutely fine. Almost four star but not quite as it's a while since the bathroom was decorated - but overall absolutely fine.

We had a comfortable 5 night stay. The cleaning staff and the staff at the reception were helpful and friendly. 2 incidents that stop me from giving a 5 star.. we were having sandwiches from outside at their breakfast bar corner seating, after checking with a staff member, and midway their bar staff came and asked us to move out, I found that pretty rude. Pls barricade the place instead! Second time was at the breakfast bar too.. 1st morning we had breakfast without a hitch. 2nd morning we shared the slip given to us by reception, to prove our breakfast eligibility, and had our breakfast seemingly under suspicious eyes! 3rd morning, yet again we had to share our payment details and once more my daughter had to go upstairs, mid meal, to fetch the invoices etc, to prove our eligibility! In comparison, Leonardo staff at Bradford and Cardiff have been pretty chill and we have eaten food from outside at both their breakfast bars.
