Wonderful! The staff and service make this hotel! Everone was fantastic! So friendly and helpful. The rooms are small compared to North American standard but, well-appointed, clean, comfortable and quiet. Great location, walkable to The British Museum, Covent Gardens and Bond St. Would Definitely stay again!

Our stay at the Montague on the Gardens was delightful. The staff was consistently welcoming, warm, and attentive. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The common areas were cozy, pleasant places to relax. The location was ideal - easy walk home from the theatres in the evening, right around the corner from the British Museum, with lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. A perfect home away from home.

Another genuinely memorable, wonderful stay with my daughter. Such a special place it’s becoming a habit. Kind, positive and attentive staff throughout, great decor and a fun but welcoming vibe. Lovely rooms with garden view, fantastic sleep and breakfast. Plus the perfect location- 10 mins walk King’s Cross or Covent Garden or Oxford Street. This time we also had bar snacks in the very cool leopard bar - very tasty and a lovely light supper option. Just come here…. But don’t tell too many of your friends so I can still get a room! Thank you Montague.

I booked an Afternoon Tea with my Mom and it was perfect. My mother has numerous allergies and they accommodated us brilliantly. They explained the teas and the process superbly. The staff were pleasant and very accommodating. Our waiter (Henry) was wonderful. Would definitely recommend visiting here for afternoon tea and will be looking to stay next time!

My wife and I stayed at The Montague on the Gardens over Christmas during our honeymoon, and our experience was exceptional from start to finish. The property is incredibly charming and full of classic character, and the staff are truly outstanding. We arrived in London very early in the morning after an overnight flight, clearing customs, and arranging our driver. Despite arriving around 9:00 a.m., our room was ready within about 20 minutes, which allowed us to freshen up comfortably before heading out to explore the city. That level of accommodation immediately set the tone for our stay. The staff quickly learned our names and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our visit. Their attentiveness and warmth made the entire stay feel effortless and personal. On the early morning of Boxing Day, we experienced a health issue, and the staff went above and beyond to help us navigate an unfamiliar healthcare system and find appropriate treatment. When we returned to the hotel, they continued to check in on us and ensured we had everything we needed to recover—food, water, and thoughtful care. The service was truly impeccable. Food and beverage were also excellent. Breakfast was included in our stay, and we happily took full advantage of it all three mornings. The food quality was great, the service was wonderful, and the coffee was excellent. We would highly recommend The Montague on the Gardens to anyone considering a stay in London. It’s a beautiful, welcoming property with exceptional service that made our honeymoon all the more special.
