We stayed here 21st and 22nd December. We were not disappointed and liked it so much that we managed to book an extra night. The accommodation was clean and well serviced - we were fortunate to stay in room 101 which was a bit special! The ambience of the hotel is just nice, friendly and relaxed. The staff were quietly efficient and friendly. It felt like they were all part of one big happy family and we were part of it. We booked the hotel primarily for its location and that did not disappoint. We will definitely book again next time we are in Edinburgh. Keep up the good work!

Brilliant location and dog friendly. The staff have been extremely welcoming and have gone the extra mile at every opportunity available to them. The park opposite is also accessible to guests and is private, which we found was perfect for us taking our dog with us and taking him for walks, furthermore the staff offered him treats making us all feel very welcomed as guests. Staff always checked with us even when we didn’t need the room cleaned - again providing that additional service and letting us know to request any top ups for the room if we didn’t want a full clean. The location is perfect for exploring the city and the attached restaurant (Baba) offers brilliant food and helped us get a reservation for a fully booked evening - the food offered is brilliant and the restaurant is well worth a visit during a stay. The bar also provides free drinks from 5-6 included with the stay, the bar staff were all lovely and chatted with us as we ordered drinks, we will absolutely stay here again if we visit Edinburgh.

I rarely take time to write reviews, however the experience at this hotel was above and beyond anywhere else that I’ve experienced in the world. First of all, the hotel itself is beautiful and magical, but as stunning as it was, the people there were better. I have never stayed anywhere where I have felt as welcomed and taken care of as I did here. I loved my time here so much that I extended my stay not once, but twice, and canceled our plans to go to London! From the moment we walked in, every single person there went to great lengths to ensure that this day was as amazing in magical as possible. I don’t know how they found everyone here, but I am so happy they did. Some notable people that made our stay amazing were Lilita, Ruby, Remy, and Gary. However, Elvira at the front desk was a delight and I cannot say enough things about her. Any issue we had, she was there to help and really did everything to make us comfortable. The Kimpton is very lucky to have her. The spa was also incredible and we got the best massage of our lives. 1000/10. We will be back.
