This is probably the BEST service we've ever received at a hotel. Rooms were delightfully stocked with coffees, teas and snacks. We had a large balcony with a castle view and were able to look down to see what was happening on the lively Rose Street. The incredible staff were courteous, professional and HAPPY! You can tell when someone truly loves what they do, and we felt the love from everyone we encountered at Kimpton Charlotte Square. Though we only had one night, they made it special for us. We'll be back! *Parking is available under the hotel for a fee - call beforehand to make sure you reserve a spot. The staff will handle everything else! *This hotel partners with American Express, so definitely consider booking through Amex Travel if you're a platinum cardholder. SO many benefits. *Cocktail hour from 5-6pm is complimentary! *Breakfast is included, and vegetarians/vegans will have plenty of options. *Shoutout to Gavin and Nick - you guys are awesome.

As a group of 4 couples we spent 2 nights here in July. It was excellent, very helpful and friendly reception staff, joined by the manager on our arrival to welcome us. The other staff especially the waiters/waitresses and domestic staff were exemplary. The accommodation, facilities and food was outstanding. The location is ideal, only minutes from shops and attractions including the Royal Mile. In summary, cannot be faulted, and we now need an excuse to return! Helen and David Tippins. 17-7-21.

Staff lovely but Really disorganised service. Forgot our room service order, didn’t come up to fix the television, some of the packed bathroom kits had been open before, reception phone was down for hours and couldn’t get through, cheap sheets, bed not very comfortable, overall generic mainstream decor, nothing of the converted townhouse it promises to be apart from exterior. Overall a real disappointment besides location which is great

Tough one here. Lovely staff, good concierge, and some nice communal spaces and happy hour on the Friday night for guests with free wine and soft drinks. Sadly the room let it down. Most especially the sound of running water in the room, kept us up most of the night. Didn't feel rested at all. Shame.
