For the price paid I’d expect much better coffee facilities in the room. No suitcase rack and previous occupier’s toothpaste in the sink. Kettle didn’t automatically switch off when boiled which was a hazard. Shuttle driver was very helpful and friendly and self-check in/out was very straightforward. Overall I found it clean and comfy but felt it over-priced for the points raised.

Hotel is great. Lay out is a little strange but the rooms are good. Spacious and clean. Very sound proof! Bar and restaurant was very busy and because of this service was slow. Staff were lovely but we waited ages and I'm pretty sure we were forgotten about.

I don’t think hotel staff always appreciate how they can make or break a travel journey but they can and do. I was quite stressed and anxious about this business trip, not feeling great have a lot of stuff going on. I had not stayed at The Clayton before. All that changed as soon as I checked in, my anxiousness melted away as I was greeted by fantastic staff from the very beginning of my hotel stay journey. Ryan Lamb (reception check in) was fantastic, so professional and personable, totally customer service orientated, instantly I felt safe and welcomed. The great customer service didn’t stop there, from the lovely young lady in the restaurant directing me to my room. Tony and Lucas, the shuttle bus drivers absolutely great, you felt totally taken care of. All the young staff in the restaurant at dinner, so personable, friendly and very professional. I will book again the warmth I felt got me in the flow for the big business trip ahead of me the next day leaving after 5.30am feeling good to go and ready for anything Kind Regards Linda

Excellent staff in all respects, particularly helpful to us were the lady manager and Tony the shuttle driver. The room was well-furnished and -cleaned and very comfortable. Mattresses too were comfortable. A battery was missing from the room safe. Shuttle service excellent. The restaurant prices were a little high. We walked to the Airport Pub as a result. We would recommend the Clayton to friends and will definitely come again ourselves. Robert Duguid 13/2/2024.

I was travelling with my elderly mother. We both loved it, right from the start the shuttle bus driver from the station was so friendly, in fact every member of staff was so pleasant and helpful, we checked in on line so used the key machine when we arrived, a lovely young lady showed us what to do and booked our return shuttle bus for the next day. We ate in the grill restaurant the food was was delicious no complaints there. The room was lovely and clean and the beds comfy. The only thing I would say is the instructions on line say the phone in the station for the shuttle bus is on the platform, when in fact it is the yellow phone on the airport level.
