May 2024The room we stayed in was 1513 and it was lovely. Very spacious, very comfy and we very much enjoyed our stay here. Our only niggle was with the electric car charging offered in the car park. The receptionist told us to contact the company for the charge rates as it was nothing to do with the hotel and they had no information. We called the number on the car chargers and they said the rates are set by the hotel and they didn't have information about the rates, they said we should ask reception. We did not have breakfast or dinner at the hotel so cannot comment on the food or drink here.

May 2024The hotel is beautiful and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean but unfortunately our air-conditioning didn't work and they couldn't fix it but they did bring us a fan. There isn't any fridge the rooms and I had medication that had to be kept in a fridge but they did offer to keep my medication in there fridge or a ice bucket which was good or alternatively buy a cheap travel fridge. The hotel is opposite a train station but we didn't hear any noise so it didn't ruin our stay. The hotel is walking distance to the town which has lots of shops and things to see and do. It is a long walk into town but you can get a bus or taxi if your not to good on your feet.

May 2024The hotel is currently under renovation. We had a free upgrade. The room had obviously been renovated as it was very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was good. Staff on reception were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in walking distance into town.

May 2024The food was very good. The room was not. No luggage rack. The bathroom had a musty smell to it. Was not informed about the renovation. There is no chain on the door for extra security. No safe in room. Since I am from another country, I could not put my passport in a secure place. Had to keep it with me, which wasn't necessary in the UK.

April 2024Got married on 25-4-24 at Chester zoo. Stayed at the Queen's night of wedding, service from staff was poor, apart from the staff in the day time who were lovely and couldn't do enough for us, even held our daughter for us while we ate breakfast, she was lovely. The general manager was meant to greet us and he didn't show his face, the communication was poor leading up to the wedding. My partner stayed night before and her breakfast was their for over 24 hours on the landing. When we booked the queen's not once were we informed about the renovations going to happen until January just gone, as we wanted the old style side which is what we booked and we got the modern which was nice but no need to get rid of old style from a historic building. Will never step foot here again. Oh before I forget the drinks were very much over priced. Not a great place, lost all values of what it used to be. Very sad š¢, day staff don't require much improvements but night staff need to improve there faces and smile. Drinks need to come down in price, buffet food was beautiful ā¤ļø
