Cliveden House is absolutely stunning — a perfect blend of history, luxury, and natural beauty. The grounds and gardens are immaculate, offering breathtaking views over the Thames. The interior is grand and elegant, with a real sense of heritage. We enjoyed our company party for drink and dinner in the beautiful drawing room, and the service was top-notch throughout. Whether you're staying overnight or just visiting the estate, it's a truly special experience. Highly recommended for a luxurious countryside escape!

Spent a day here 3 years ago, chose Cliveden mainly because of its proximity to my friend's house and I was very pleased. Had a lovely walk around most of the grounds, we took a picnic with us. Nice way to spend a summer's day. Did not stay in the hotel.

We visited Cliveden recently as National Trust members for the first time. We only saw a small selection of the ground floor rooms in this amazing House that operates as a 5 star hotel during a 30 minute tour. We were not permitted to see any of the bedrooms or to go upstairs for obvious reasons. The hotel is opulent, grand and very luxurious. The great hall is stunning as is the artwork and artefacts The dining areas that we saw looked amazing. It would be an enormous treat to experience a meal or an afternoon tea there - never mind actually staying overnight or more. It is a 5 star hotel so prices reflect that status. The views of the huge lawns and gardens (called the Parterre) from the balcony and terrace windows is very impressive. The history of the House has been maintained in every way that other National Trust properties are, but Cliveden House manages to combine it's 2 operations as hotel and a visitor attraction very well. The NT volunteers are brilliant. So knowledgeable, helpful and polite. The gardens are spectacular and beautifully and sympathetically maintained. Dogs are welcome outside and in the orangery cafe which is separate from the Hotel. . There are plenty of walking opportunities. Well worth a visit and for those with deep pockets, well worth an extended stay as a resident.

Went to see Cliveden as part of the #national trust but got there at the wrong time. It is only open to the public national trust members/visitors between 11 and 1. Met the most amazing gentleman who told me I couldn’t enter unless staying in the hotel, using the restaurant or staying for afternoon tea. Did get the chance to have tea though, absolutely stunning setting with so much class. I’ll time in better next time. The grounds were amazing, but vast. Enjoyed the talk on the patio for a little bit. Enjoyed the maze and waterfalls. It is a beautiful park.
