Well, what can I say, such a lovely place in such wonderful peaceful surroundings. The staff were so friendly & seemed no matter how busy they were always happy to help if anything was needed. Especially the lovely Monica & the 2 merry men that seemed to do the reception to the breakfast, aways singing & smiles. They have lots planed from tribute bands to murder mystery evenings. We were in room 3, small but doable, just for the weekend. Unfortunately, it has a large chair in which it blocks the light from the window that looks out over the front & carpark but is still a lovely view. The breakfast is good lots of choice. I didn't have food in the evening but what I saw looked lovely. It was so nice to sit outside and take the evening chilling in the warm air chatting to other guests that had got married there 10 years ago that eve. It's such a peaceful place. May book 1 of the events in the future To all of the staff this weekend 🙌 Thank you for a pleasant stay

Just popped in here after a funeral so can't do an in depth survey. However, food looked good, lemon drizzle cake was good. Location tremendous with a lovely view of the front of the hotel.

Great little hotel situated in the countryside. Highly recommend booking anything in the Wellington Lodge because Fir Tree Court is very small with no A/C. However, the rooms in Fir Tree have large soaking tubs which Wellington does not. I was disappointed to see that because I figured the nicer room would also have a soaking tub. There is AC in Wellington though which was so nice during my visit in the summer. The rooms are small but the Wellington room is small but elegant. Flat screen tv on the wall, a fridge with still or sparing water and creamer. A Nespresso machine along with a tea maker and decent sized closet. The Fir Tree Court is more like a dorm room. Not a whole lot to say about those rooms. No fridge inside of it. Barely move around in there. The property is gorgeous with stunning views of the countryside but that's all there is. You can watch the sunset over that land which I must say has been one of the pleasures of staying here. There is a farm adjacent to the property with grazing horses and a small dirt footpath that goes alongside the farm. Also on the property is a cemetery which was creepy but also intriguing. Very old headstones with some more modern. Like mentioned, not a whole lot to do on property but you can get food delivered to the property via Uber eats and what not. Highly recommend paying the extra for breakfast! Fresh eggs, orange juice, apple juice, cranberry juice, hash browns, beans, potatoes, etc. The staff were all very pleasant!

We went for a wedding. The staff is so rude, they gave us a tiny 35ml bottle of shower soap for 2 people (1 on them is 6’ 2), i asked to the receptionist for another one and, she handle another one to the saying that 2 are more than enough and they will not give me more. So, I cant take 2 showers (1 at night after a whole day event and another one in the morning) because this is a stingy hotel. Moreover, The room was extremely hot (even the floors) for a summer day, the window was so tiny and full of spiders cobwebs. This was a common topic the next day among the wedding guest
