Great pub! Nice hidden gem, I will definitely return.. The staff are absolutely lovely, and the pub itself is very nice. They've got the large screen for the matches, board games, pizzas and a Sunday lunch, you really can't go wrong lol. Unfortunately their quiz is stopping due to it not getting busy enough, which is such a shame because it really is a great spot. Thanks again!

I love coming to The Actress. They’ve always served great beers and stone-baked pizzas, but since Anna took over as GM, the place feels even more welcoming. The team are attentive, friendly, and always up for a chat. Their pizzas are genuinely some of the best in the area – fresh, crispy, and cooked perfectly in their stone oven. I’ve also tried their Sunday roast, and it didn’t disappoint – generous portions, tasty veg, and a proper Yorkshire pudding. Whether you’re popping in for a quick pint, a relaxed dinner with friends, or a roast on the weekend, you can’t go wrong here. Highly recommend.

Have eaten here many times with the family - good pizzas - 10yo son rates them as best in East Dulwich! Burgers average. Good atmosphere and pub for a quick pint. Has screens for sport.

UPDATE: I have now had to reduce my rating from 2 stars to 1 star. The reason being that the offer of looking into the issue of food poisoning/ poor preparation of food set out in the owner's response below has been non-existent. I wrote to them at the email provided on 22 September, NO RESPONSE. I followed up on 27 September, NO RESPONSE. It is now 2 October and still NO RESPONSE. Your after care service is just as bad as the food I received at the pub and I am not impressed. The food here was poor. I had the fish and chips, chips were uncooked and hard, the miniscule egg cup of mushy peas was cold, the curry sauce was luke warm and lumpy, the fish was the smallest I’ve had and very average. My wife’s fries were also uncooked. I have also experienced ill effects following this visit so you do the maths! We were reimbursed but until there is some dramatic change - eating here should be avoided!
